I got the chance to try out the sweat leaf drops and loved them.

Sweat leaf is America’s original stevia-based sweetener. James May discovered this great sweeter while in the Peace Core in 1982.  I have to admit I have always been wary about these sweeteners.  I am always afraid you are going to get the not so good after taste.  I was very happy with these.  They did not have any of the after taste and just added a touch of sweetness.  Stevia can be 30 times sweeter then sugar.  I could tell this from the first drop.  I added a drop to my water and it was delicious.  As you all know I have been trying to be good and drink more water and less soda.  I have been doing good but by the afternoon I am done I need something with some taste in it.  I added 2 drops and it was perfect gave me a sweet taste but I was still drinking my water.   They not only have these great drops but they also make powder and sugar for all your cooking needs.  If you are looking for some great recipes for your family to use with their products they also have a recipe page on their web site.

 

The three flavors I got to try were Valencia Orange, Chocolate, and Vanilla Cream.  The first one I tried in my water was the Valencia Orange.  This one made a great add to my water.  It gave it just enough sweetened to my water and I could drink it all day long with a little flavor but not too much.   The second one I tried was the Chocolate.  This one I could have drank right out of the bottle.  I added this one to two different things.  First I added it to milk.  I wanted to have a glass but ½ way threw was not liking the taste any more so I added a few drops of the chocolate and it was perfect.  I also added two drops to my vanilla yogurt and loved it.  You all know I am a chocolate freak.  The third one I tried was the vanilla this one I added to my night time hot coco for a little extra flavor and it was fantastic.   They have 16 flavors and I think I will have to check them all out.  You all know I will hit the cola and the toffee for sure.   These are perfect to have on hand to help change the flavor of all the items that I know I should be eating and drinking but some time I just don’t want to.  I will eat anything as long as you add some chocolate flavor to it.

Mighty Leaf Tea

I got the chance to try out Mighty leaf tea and loved it.

As you all know I am a tea lover I cannot get enough.  I drink it all day long.  When I got the chance to try out Mighty Leaf Tea I was So Excited.  Mighty leaf tea started in 1996 when hubby and wife founded their tea house in San Francisco, CA.  When I opened this tea the first thing I notices was the nice fresh tea smell.  You all know what I mean by this.  When you buy those boxes from the grocery store a lot of times you open the package and the tea just has that old tea smell.  I always wonder how long it has been sitting on that shelf.  This one was the fresh smell that just filled the air with yummy tea smell.  The next thing I noticed when taking a look at the tea bag was no staples holding the bag together.  I cannot tell you how many times I have made a cup of tea or made ice tea and the bag came apart and I was searching for that missing staple.

On the tag of the tea bag you can find the caffeine content and the brew time to make your perfect ice tea.  A lot of times when I drink a tea lets be honest its only good if it hot or if its cold it takes a great tea to be good hot and cold.  This one was perfect when it was a rainy night and I just wanted something hot I warmed it up and it was just as great hot as it was cold.   The tea bags are proportioned so no more guessing when you are making it about how many bags to add, I love this I have done so many trial and errors it is great that with these I have it all laid out for me for the perfect cup of tea.  As you all know price is a biggie also for me.  Each whole leaf pouch brews up to 1/2 gallon or 64 oz. of iced tea. $5.99 for a 4-Pack Box.  This way beats the $2.50 I was spending on a single bottle.

As we all know the Sunburst Green tea was my favorite, but to my surprise the black tea was my second favorite.  I am not usually not a black tea lover but this one was fantastic and not to strong.  I also loved the other two. We took the peach iced tea and added some lemon and strawberries to it; it was such a fantastic flavor.  I was very impressed with all of these teas.

 

The Takeya Iced Tea pitcher and a Takeya glass water bottle with a silicone wrap were fantastic.  The ice tea pitcher fit great into the fridge and has a great pour spout.  The  bottle was not only perfect size and easy to fill but it had a great little d ring part that clipped right to my stroller so I could easily take it along with us when we went for a walk or out for the day.  It keeps my drink nice and cold and did not leak at all as we went over the bumpy roads.

Love Cooking Company

I got the chance to try out a few of the cooking items from Love Cooking Company and I am in love.


  As you all know I love to cook, but without the right tools cooking can be a pain.  I got the chance to try out the  Mrs.Fields Bakers Sto’ N Go Desert Carrier, The Mrs. Fields The Cool Bake, and the 24 Cup Mini Cupcake Pan. I had a blast cooking with these not only where they superior to the ones I had been using but the clean up was a snap.  If you are like me when you use your non stick spray and spray the pan you either have to scrub the pan after baking to get it off ,or it just sticks their like a brown sticky mess that never comes off.  If you see the picture below this is how easy it was to get the spray off after baking.  I just grabbed a paper towel and wiped it off and it came right off.  This is a huge plus in my book.

 

   The Bakers store and go is such a great item.  It had different shelves so I could pack up a few different snacks at one time and off we went.  It was shaped perfectly that it did not fall over when traveling.  Another great big plus for us in high altitude is it keeps my food fresh.  If you have anything like cookie or muffins where we live if you keep them out within minutes they go stale.  I stored out muffins in this in the house and it keep them as fresh as the day we made them and did not take up much room at all.


  The cook bake was amazing.  If you are like me you have your pans and you also have about 20 cooling racks stored in your kitchen.  This one was both in one I loved that.  Just bake my cookies and pull off the top and wha la you are done they are cooling and you did not have to store or use 2 different items.    This was also very easy to clean even though the cooling part had little holes for the cooling the cookies did not stick at all in the holes and it cleaned like a breeze.


 

  The 24 mini muffin pan was also wonderful.  I love this, before this I had to use 2-3 of the other mini muffin pans to equal what I can fit in this one bigger one.  The muffins cooked perfectly as you can see nice and golden brown. The bottoms did not burn at all and came right out of the pan did not stick at all with the cooking spray.  The clean up was also quick and easy.  I also made mini brownies but you did not get a pictures I ate them all too fast lol.  They turned out perfect.


 I Would recommend Love Cooking Company to everyone.

Teas Tea

I got the chance to try out this fantastic tea and loved it.

You all know I am a tea lover I drink it all day long hot cold every way I can get it.  But let’s be honest not all teas are great when you find a wonderful one if you are anything like me you are jumping for joy.  I have found some great ones out there and this one is truly one of the greats.  This one is brewed very strong which I love but if you do not like a strong tea it’s not a problem just mix your bottle with some water and you have twice as much of a great tea.   It was refreshing t find a company that did not brew their tea week just to save money.   You can tell they are a company that is truly in to making their customers happy not saving a few pennies.

The Unsweetened green tea with mint was by far my most favorite gave it a great slight mint taste and you all know how I like sweet.   The unsweetened was also very good, but I found the half and half most interesting.  I am not usually a coconut fan but this was very interesting.  Half green tea and ½ coconut.  The two flavors mixed together went very well together and was very pleasant to drink.  It reminded me of a great refreshing summer drink.   The nest one I must try is the green tea with lemon this one seems right up my alley for a great green tea drink.

I was very impressed with this great tea.  I am also very impressed with how many different flavors they also have.

Newmans Own OrganicNewmans Own Organic

I got the chance to try out a ton of goodies from Newmans Own Organic and ohh my gosh I loved it all.

 

Newmans own was created by Paul Newman.  Nell his daughter, and her business partner Peter Meehan started Newman’s Own Organic, as a division of Newman’s Own.  The line took off and they branched off as their own brand in 2001.  I know for many of us the word organic usually means no taste and expensive also of course healthier.  This of course is not the case with newmans own organic (NOO) not only is their food full of flavor but it is affordable and yes still healthier.  I love the fact that when I give my son something from their line I know it is better for him and he is not getting a whole bunch of random chemicals.   I have to admit when I got the box I was very surprised I knew they made great pretzels and apple snacks but woo hooo they make chocolate goodies and licorice snacks.

We all know the first thing I jumped after was the cookies. The chocolate chip cookies are by far my favorite.  They not only tasted great but they were fresh right out of the package and the chocolate chips just melted in my mouth. The ginger snaps were great very crunchy and they had quite a bit spice to them, too much for baby boy but me and hubby loved them.  The cinnamon gram were great not to spicy for baby boy and perfect to add to kids lunch.  They also had some great cookie that were chocolate filled with peanut butter, and cream filled you all know I love my cookies these went very fast.  The Fignewmans were also a big hit with baby boy.

The pretzels came in three verities Salted, Unsalted and mighty mini.  These were all fantastic.  The mini ones were perfect size for baby boy and the bigger ones of course were our snacks.  As you all know I would lick a salt lick if I could so the salted were my favorite.

We also got some Apples, and prunes.  The apples I loved they had such a great sweet taste to them I could eat them all day long.  I am not a big fan of prunes so for these I called a friend over to give them a try.  He gobbled them up.  He said they were very sweat and fresh.

 

The UN salted pop corn was great.  Popped perfect with the popcorn button on the microwaves and we all know I added salt.  But we loved the flavor and when we got to the bottom there were not many UN cooked kernels left at the bottom. This s a great one to have in the house.  Even though I eat a ton of salt I do not want baby boy to get my bad habits so this was perfect for us I could add salt to mine and leave his salt free.

The chocolate came in three different one.  Orange dark, Mocha milk, and espresso dark.  My favorite of these three of course was the Mocha Milk.  Juts melted in my mouth.  Hubby is a coffee lover so of course he went to the espresso dark first and loved it.  We let baby boy have a little piece of the orange dark and he loved it but we are trying to keep him away from too many sweats so it went into the freezer so he can have a piece here and there as a treat.

Guess what they had chocolate cups too.  These came in Carmel cups, Peppermint cups, and peanut butter cups.   These were all fantastic   the chocolate once again just melted in my mouth I was in love at first bite.  The peanut butter was my favorite because we all know I love peanut butter.  The peppermint was great not to minty were you could not eat them but just enough that it left you feeling like you just had a great fresh snack.   The Carmel was not the hard Carmel at all it was melty and fantastic.

The Licorice was a pleasant surprise.  I did not know that there were even this many favors out there.  They were fantastic one after another. These went very fast in our house.  Each one we tasted was better than the last.  I would have to say Strawberry was my favorite. They came in

So to sum up.  My gosh I love food.  They make such wonderful great products I would recommend them to everyone

Zoku Milkshake maker

ot the chance to try out the Zoku slush / milkshake maker and I love it.

I am a true lover of slush and milk shakes but let’s be honest slushy’s never turn out right at home and to pull out and have to clean a whole blender for one milk shake is just too much work.  I was so excited to try this out.   Baby boy had never had a slush (we have no stores that even sell them) so when we got this I went right out and bought some juice to try out.  I got apple juice and orange juice to mix together for baby boy and he loved it.  This was so easy to do and we had a nice frozen good for him treat in less than 5 minutes.  When we were done I just cleaned out the cup and re froze it to have it ready for our next treat.

This was so easy to use just freeze the inside cup standing straight up for 8-12 hours.  When t is nice and frozen put in the sleeve for (so you don’t freeze your hands) and pour your juice in.  Then from there it is no work at all just use your spoon to scrape the edges every time you scrape you will get another layer of slush off the sides keep n doing this every few minutes and bam you are done.  As you can see this was so easy to do even baby boy was helping out.  He had a blast doing it for himself. At the end he had a great slush.   If you are a juicer this will be great for you.  With your fresh squeezed juice every day just add it to your Zoku and make yourself a great slushy.

Wholly Guacamole Halloween

I got the chance to do a review with Wholly Guacamole for Halloween and we loved it.

Wholly Guacamole is a fantastic company that makes not only fantastic guacamole but also some great salsa.   We were so excited to have a Guacamole party we started right away coming up with some spooky but still not to spooky treats.  We have the 3 year old so don’t want him waking up scared all night.

 

First we made a great zombie dip.  I used some refried beans on the bottom then added a layer of guacamole and then a layer of cheese on the top and of course some salsa for the red eyes.  And bam we have a great zombie dip very easy to make and it was gobbles up in just a few minutes

 

The pucking pumpkin/ orange pepper was fun.  If you are serving a lot of people you can use a pumpkin we only had a few people due to a random snow storm so I went with the orange pepper.  Just carve a face into it and add the avocado guacamole and mix with the mango salsa or hot salsa and you have your dip.  This looks neat and is also very easy to do.  I also added a little salsa dripping down the face for effect. If you do a pumpkin add a candle for a little more flare.

The twice baked potato eye balls were the hit of the party these were gone the second I put the plate down.  Get a bag of little red potatoes cut them in half and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.  Take them out and you will have a white layer over the cut halves peel that layer off and throw away.   Then I scoop out the inside and add in butter a little bacon grease, bacon bits and shredded cheese and a little sour cream.  Mix all together in a bowl till its all mushy then put back into the potato and cook at 350 for another half hour.  I take out and add a dab of guacamole as the eye ball and a dab on top of that of salsa to finish it off.

 

These are all so easy to make and will be a big hit at any Halloween party.  What is your favorite Halloween Recipe? As you can tell I am no artist but baby boy thought they were the best things ever.  But they did taste fantastic.

Happy Family

I got the chance to try Happy Family foods for little guy.  This is a great way to get your little ones to eat healthy and they love it.

 

 

His favorite was the pouches they are a great mix of veggies and fruits that little ones love. Don’t tell anyone but I love them too.  It made for a great snack for him that he could feed himself and I can grab it throw in a bag and bring a long with me.   For a quick and easy meal that is healthy for your little one try out there toddler meal bowls. We have all had those night you don’t want to cook but you need to make sure your little ones eats healthy and is nice and full before bed these are great just cook and serve. Dinner done.

 

His Other favorite was the yogis melts he ate them like candy and I was happy that I could let him do this they were good for him and he loved them.   He loved all their products and I love that he loves them.   It is so hard now a days to find a healthy meal for your little ones and happy family has made it easier for you they are easy to find in your baby isle at your local store and they make a great product for your little or you to grab and go.  These days to many people rely on fast food because it easy but I do believe that if you can do something better for your family you should and this is one of the great company that will help you with quick and easy and healthy.

Krave Jerky

If you are looking for a great jerky with wonderful unique flavors this is it.  I of course am a lemon lover cannot resist it so when I saw the Lemon Garlic I went straight for it.   This is one of the most wonderful flavors I have tasted in sooo long.  It was a perfect blend of seasoning with a jerky that was made to perfection.  I have very sensitive teeth and usually eating jerky hurts my Jaw but I could eat Krave Jerky just fine.  This is a big plus for me.

Hubby of course claimed the rest for himself this did not turn out so well for him baby boy saw what he was eating and went nuts.  The teriyaki was of course baby boy’s favorite we had to hide the bag from him or he would have eaten the whole thing.

I got to eventually try the rest of the flavors when I found out where hubby hide them.  I loved every one.   This is a great company with not only a great product but unbelievable customer service.  For those of you that make gift baskets for presents this would also be a great add to them. Tiesta Tea

I got to try these wonderful teas from tiesta.  They were fantastic.

They sent me a verity of their most popular teas.

Nutty Almond Cream, Blueberry Wild Child, Fruity Pebbles, Passion Berry Jolt, Maui Mango

.As you know I love a good tea.   These are a loose leaf tea so when they showed up I got my loose leaf tea steeper out and got to brewing.  I was instantly surprised when I saw the package and it said makes 30-50 cups I thought no way. But to my surprise you did need very little to make a great cup of tea.  They also had the caffeine level right on the front of the package no searching to find out if it was a day time or night time tea,  I love this there has been so many time I make a cup of tea at night just to realize it had high caffeine in it.  You all know what happens then.

I loved every one of the teas that they sent me but of course I have my favorites.

Maui Mango

Ohh my god like a little cup of heaven. It actually has Pineapple bits, Orange slices, Safflowers, marigolds, and strawberry bits.  I drank this one hot and cold. It was great both ways.  I could not believe that these few things mixed could make such a great cup of tea.

My other favorite was Passion Berry Jolt. This one is just what is sounds like a great Passion berry tea with a high level of caffeine which I need early in the morning and some times in the early afternoon.

This is a fantastic company with a great product and a great bunch of people working there.  I would recommend them to everyone.
