As you all know Mama loves to cook so of course baby boy always wants to help me.  He had of course his own way of doing things but we get the job done.  When he got the chance to try out these great cooking toys we jumped on it.   When they showed up he was so excited he dug right into the box and went nuts.  The first thing he went for was the play money.  They look just like the real thing but are bigger and guess what he cannot rip the bills.  This is fantastic in our house if he can destroy he will.  He immediately started counting the money to me and to my surprise he had it all right.  I cannot believe he was so good at it.  He now gives me his money and tells me it’s time to go to the store because baby has money lol.

We then opened the mixer and of course the cooking set and he immediately set up on his table and started cooking.  His specialty is a yogurt juice mix which mama had to drink with him.  He of course served me in his new measuring cups.  Believe it or not this was very good berry yogurt mixed with apple juice.  I think we found a start to our new smoothies.  Lol.  As you can see when we cook we make a big mess with this set it was no worries just a little warm water and a sponge and we were all cleaned up.  It does say we can put the plates in the dishwasher but we did it by hand so they were done quickly and we could get cooking again.   This is an awesome set that not only lets your little one join in on your cooking every day but lets him get his imagination in it too and come up with something new and exciting.   We are having such a blast with this one.  Last night I made crunchy garlic chicken so we got out his mixer and in his measuring cups I added all the dry ingredients and let him mix it all up.  He was so excited to help me.  But I do think we will wait till he is out of the put everything in my mouth stage before I let him help with the raw chicken lol.  This is a set that every mom should have.  They get to help you and feel like they are really part of the process.  Plus you never know what great idea they will come up with.  Educational insights has a wide range of toys for you little one. Clue Movie

OMG I loved, loved, loved this movie.  I love a good mystery but this one was not only a mystery but an adventure too.  Think of the original movie clue mixed with Goonies and National Treasure all rolled into one.  I truly could not stop watching little guy was also loving find all the clues.   I have to admit I never knew this was a series but now I need more.  It left off in a place where it could keep on going and I am very excited to see if it there are more to come.

This is a story about six very different teenagers who witness something together and are unfairly accused of creating a hoax.  As they are trying to clear their names they stumble upon a whole new and exciting story.  They discover a little about themselves on the way and become good friends.  This movie is brought to you by Hasbro studios and Shout kids factory.    They have a wide range of movies for you and your little one and they are a must check out.  This movie was released on July 15th and is a must get for any family.   You can get this awesome movie from Amazon for $11.04, or of course your next trip to Wal-Mart head in and pick one up for $11.04.

TMNT costume

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Costume

I was so excited when we got a chance to try out this great TMNT costume.  This came at perfect timing I was having a UN birthday with my nephew (something we do every year) and this year’s theme was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.    So when the chance came up we jumped on it and started looking through all the great costumes from Anytime Costumes.  They had a ton to choose from but of course I needed a younger boy costume.  I called him and asked which his favorite was?  He said the blue one lol.

This costume was much more than I expected.  Not only was it made really well and great stitching the fabric was thick and very easy to clean which with a 5 year old wearing it of course we already had to do .  As you can see from the picture above it was a full costume mask and all.  The shell separates and you can stuff it if you want or leave it like we did.  It looks great either way.  This awesome Deluxe Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo Child Costume cost just $36.97 which is a great price for a full costume with a mask.  I would totally recommend this costume to everyone.  No worry all if Leonardo Is not your kids favorite charter they do have the other 3 so you are sure to get them the one they love here.

There is also a new trend going on for trend setting turtles.  They are awesome they are baseball Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle uniforms a must check out.

Hey Arnold

We got the chance to check out the complete series and baby boy is in love.  Do you remember this series I sure did and I was excited that I could bring it to baby boy.  I remember when all our cartoons was like Hey Arnold a fun cartoon for kids that always had a lesson and was interesting for our little ones.  This full series has all 99 episodes so even if you just do 1 or 2 on Saturdays morning like we used to have when we were kids you will have weeks of entertainment.  Or of course if you are bed ridden like I was this week this is a must have. It keep baby boy interested and we had a blast watching episode after episode.  But don’t miss out all this collection is only out for a limited time so make sure you buy it before it’s gone.

Bright Starts

When we went to Blogher 14 this year we got to meet bright starts.  This was one of the highlights of my day.  Baby boy has always been a big fan of their toys and we got to not only check out their new toys coming out but got to do the baby laugh index.  Which was really cute and fun see bottom of the page to get your child’s laugh index.

On my second day there I got an e-mail that I had won their new toys for baby boy to check out and I was so excited.  I immediately ran over to the ladies at the booth and hugged them and was jumping up and down (they must have thought I was nuts lol).

Of course I did not tell baby boy they were coming so when they did he was jumping up and down and wanted them all right away of course.

The Hide and Spin money is just too cute for words.  You put the balls in his hat and he counts them.  Then they fall out the bottom while spinning.  You can also open the leafs so they fly around and your little one has to go get them and start over.

 

 

The 3 in1 step and ride lion baby boy loved.  Of course I cannot get him to ride it lol he pushes it around the house feeding the lion the balls.  This one grows with your little one so it is great for all ages. Sorry all I tried to turn the video around and have no idea how to lol.

 

 

The  Having a ball fun ball climber I think was one of his favorite.  The balls go all threw it up and down to bounce off a ledge and land in the hippos mouth and goes around again.  He had so much fun watching it go and telling me when the hippo was going to eat it.

 

 

 

All of these toys were just adorable and I would recommend them to everyone.  They were too much fun and even having them for over a week baby boy still plays with them every day.

OMG you want to see one of the happiest boys alive.  First what you do is you get him these great 2 DVD’s because he loves the Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Just start watching.  Then see his face light up like there is no tomorrow when he sees they crossed over and both of his favorite cartons are in one.

He went completely nuts and we had to watch them over and over and over again.  These are two of the best shows out there they always have a good lesson for your little one and they keep them entertained for hours.  Ya ya I know but sometimes mama needs a little one to just sit and watch TV so you don’t here MAMA every 2 minutes.  And if you are going to sit them in front of the T.V they might as well be learning some new lessons and having a blast.  For those of you have been waiting for it.  Guess what yes there is now a girl Turtle. Yaaaaaaa

Kid Fit Pillow

I have to be honest before I found out about Kid Pillow I was always the person who went and bought that $5.99 pillow from the store down the street and never even thought a thing about it. When we got the chance to try this one out, along with a Seal pillow (separate blog post on this coming next week!!), I was excited for my little guy. When the box came and I showed him his new pillow he was so excited he was jumping up and down. He was so excited to have special pillow that was his very own. We opened it up and he grabbed it right away and headed for his bed.

He has loved this pillow from the first moment he got it. He cuddles to it every night and he has slept so much better. I am a true believer now that to get a good night’s sleep you need to spend the money on a good pillow.

This pillow is awesome they have a different pillow for 3 different ages so you can make sure you are getting the best one for your little one. They have a down like microfiber cover. This cover is so comfortable I could not believe how soft it is. It has a memory foam core and around that is just soft puffiness. This pillow is designed for comfort and fit for your little one in mind. My little guy has been waking up a whole lot less at night and he wakes up better rested that I can ever remember. He also will not share. I ask him every night if I can use his pillow he runs to the room and crawls in bed lays on his pillow and tells me the pillow is too big for mama. Lol This was truly an awesome pillow and I would recommend this to every parent out there. You will not believe how much better they sleep.

The adventures of Chuck & friends Truck Versus Wild Movie Review

I know you guys are going to laugh at me but I have been buying baby boy Chuck the trucks for years now and never knew there was a cartoon.  When I got the chance to check out this cartoon I was very excited.  Baby boy immediately grabbed all his trucks and we started watching.  This great movie came with 10 new episodes and baby boy loved everyone, and of course we had to watch them all 10 times.   Chuck goes on all different adventures with his friends in these episodes and every single one will suck you in.  I caught myself watching them over and over and in every episode I noticed something new each time I saw it.  I love when a cartoon can even suck me in.    Baby boy’s favorite episode was Beach Blanket Oh-Oh.  I think this one reminded him of his auntie Tricia because he keeps on calling for her.  (She lives next to the beach).

Transformers Prime

Hasbro and shout factory have come together to bring you this great collection of Transformers Bumblebee shows.

We love a great family movie night when we got the chance to check out the new Bumblebee Move we were very excited.  If you are like me you remember from when you were little Transformers was one of my favorite TV shows.  Of course bumblebee was my favorite.  I love that there is still a great cartoon out for my little one to enjoy and every episode has a lesion for my little one to learn.   I could not believe when I started the movie how much the graphics have changed from when we were younger.    This movie came with 4 episodes and was about 88 minutes.  Perfect time for a little one movie night.   Little guy was sucked into this show the second I pressed play.

One of my all time transformer questions were answered in this set of shows.  That is right all we find out how Bumblebee lost his voice.  Like me I am sure most of you have wondered why bumblebee was never able to talk.  No I am not going to tell you, you will have to watch the show.  There were any other surprises that came out n these episodes I am excited for you all to see.  I followed this show for years and I love the fact that I can now get them on DVD for little guy.  This is going to be perfect for our many road trips.   The transformer series has been around for years.  I am so happy that it is still here for my little one to enjoy too.  Shout factory has come together with Hasbro to bring you this great move sold at Wal-Mart for $9.99 being released on February 25th 2014.

If you are like me whenever it came to buying toys for your little one it was so hard.  You go to a web site and search threw thousands of toys not really knowing what ages they are for or some of them what they even do.  This is especially hard for me when buying for friends kids, I have no idea what they like and what is appropriate for them.  So when I found this site I was very excited. They have categories right on the site so I can just search for to Toys for 2 years olds and look around to find when I wanted to get them.
