New Pokémon Snap and More Revealed in Today’s Pokémon Presents

OMG there is so much Pokemon news where do we begin.  I was thinking of doing a few different post, but I wanted you all to have all the info in one place.

In celebration of the launch of The Isle of Armor, the first new adventure in the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Expansion Passes, The Pokémon Company this morning unveiled a number of new Pokémon games and experiences.

New Pokémon Snap
The New Pokémon Snap game for the Nintendo Switch system is based on its namesake, which was first released for the Nintendo 64 console in 1999. This game will take Trainers on an adventure to unknown islands overflowing with natural sights such as jungles and beaches, where they can research various Pokémon in their natural habitats. They will take photos to make their very own in-game Pokémon Photodex, all while discovering new, never-before-seen Pokémon expressions and behaviors.

Pokémon Café Mix
Pokémon Café Mix is a free-to-start game for Nintendo Switch systems and mobile devices. Starting today, Trainers can preload Pokémon Café Mix in Nintendo eShop, preorder the app in the App Store, or preregister the app on Google Play.

Pokémon Café Mix is a unique puzzle game where players can link Pokémon icons together by swirling them around. To link icons, players will need to grab a Pokémon icon and drag it next to another icon of the same Pokémon species. Icons will be cleared after they are linked together.

The player will be the owner of a café that Pokémon visit, where they will work alongside Pokémon to prepare drinks and dishes for Pokémon customers by completing puzzles. Pokémon on the café’s staff have special Café Skills that can be used to help complete puzzles. Once a puzzle is completed, the player can serve an order to a customer. The player can increase their friendship levels with Pokémon by serving them delicious drinks and dishes. As more puzzles are completed, the café can be upgraded by getting new tools or having new areas added. New Pokémon may come visit, lured in by the different upgrades.

Pokémon GO
In collaboration with Niantic, The Pokémon Company announced that Mega-Evolved Pokémon will appear in the real world in Pokémon GO. Fans can look forward to experiencing a new take on Mega Evolution that takes advantage of Pokémon GO’s unique gameplay.

Pokémon Smile
With Pokémon Smile, Pokémon continues to expand its app offerings for younger children by incorporating the world of Pokémon into the everyday task of brushing your teeth. The app is a unique new mobile experience for the Pokémon brand that makes brushing your teeth a fun activity and encourages kids to develop good brushing habits.[4] Pokémon Smile is available for download beginning today at no cost in the App Store and on Google Play.

Pokémon Smile uses a mobile device’s camera to observe the player’s toothbrushing activity. If the player skillfully brushes their teeth, they can defeat cavity-causing bacteria depicted in the game and then catch Pokémon. The game will guide the user through the toothbrushing process, so each playthrough can help them brush all areas in their mouth.[5]

Parents can receive notifications from Pokémon Smile at up to three set times per day that remind them it’s time for kids to brush their teeth. They can also set the duration of each toothbrushing session to be between one and three minutes, based on the varying needs of children of different ages. The app is filled with elements to encourage the player to continue playing the game with the intent of slowly building a habit of brushing their teeth. Players will want to keep coming back to catch over one hundred species of Pokémon in Pokémon Smile and fill out their in-app Pokédex. They can also collect fun in-app decorative headwear to display on themselves virtually as they brush their teeth.

This year for Christmas we got our little guy a Nintendo Switch and I have to say the whole family has loved this gift.  With the all the different games we have all found something we love to pay.  When we got the chance to try out Clubhouse Games we were so excited.  This is a game that our whole family has loved.

  I loved this chair from the first time I saw the pictures.  I can think of so many people that would go crazy for this.  Not only is it perfect for kids sports , but also race car races and so much more.  Now when the box showed up I though ohh no way would I carry something this big.  Then I realized it folds up smaller.  It still has some weight to it, but it can be carried in the arm bag it comes with, or as a back pack.  I also love that it has legs that can unfold or fold up depending on where you are sitting.  It also has 2 drink holders and some awesome zipper pockets for your other items.  This chair is amazing.

As you know I love movies with a dog.  What can make it even better?  We can hear everything the dog is hearing.  I loved it from the first few minutes.

Oliver is a 12 year old genius who is way ahead of his time.  Oliver loves to invent stuff and even makes some great inventions for his dog.  When the science contest at school goes wrong (not his fault) he thinks he looses his chance to impress one of his mentors.

His friend from china helps him and that when things get crazy. As his family is starting to fall apart him and his best friend start to think of a way to get them back together.  All along others are trying to get his technology.  Who is his real friend who is out to take his invention.  Will he get his family back together.  SO many questions and more get answered during Think Like A Dog.

What is Dyskinetic Palsy?

Dyskinetic cerebral palsy (also known as athetoid cerebral palsy) is a form of cerebral palsy caused by damage or under-development in an area of the brain called the basal ganglia. The basal ganglia sits at the base of the brain, near to where the spinal cord enters the skull, and is responsible for a range of functions pertaining to voluntary movement, learning, and emotion. Damage to the basal ganglia can occur in the womb, during birth as a birth injury (speak to a cerebral palsy lawyer in Phoenix for further information), or after birth as a result of an injury during the immediate weeks and months of normal brain development.   

 

Dyskinetic palsy – understanding the signs and symptoms

 

Dyskinetic palsy is characterised by uncontrolled movements as a result of muscles that do not respond as expected to signals from the brain – when a child with dyskinetic palsy attempts to move in a certain way, muscles adjacent to the intended muscles may flex instead. This can result in three commonly observed symptoms of dyskinetic palsy:

 

 

  • Dystonia

 

 

Dystonia is typically described as carrying out uncontrolled writhing or twisting motions in a repetitive and slow fashion. This main symptom is coupled with an awkward posture, intermittent fast writhing or twisting motions, and an increase in symptoms when the child is tired or when the child perceives the situation to be stressful. 

 

  • Athetosis

 

Athetosis is a symptom of dyskinetic palsy marked by minor uncontrolled wriggling or slow twitching movements when at rest, which become more prominent when the child tries to move. Other symptoms linked to athetosis include grimacing and drooling, varied muscle tone from stiff to relaxed when at rest, and a lack of symptoms when sleeping.

 

 

  • Chorea

 

 

Chorea is perhaps the most subtle of all dyskinetic palsy symptoms. The word ‘chorea’ is actually from the Greek for ‘dance’. The word is used in reference to irregular movements that may be abrupt and may repeat several times during any one particular instance of this symptom playing out. 

 

Along with all of these symptoms, it is worth noting that children suspected of showing signs of any kind of cerebral palsy will also likely display more common general symptoms. These general symptoms of cerebral palsy include notable issues with vision and hearing, behavioral and learning issues, and potentially seizures. All of the symptoms must be weighed up as a whole during diagnosis, as no singular diagnosis exists for cerebral palsy.
