Fruit/Vegetable Wash

I was very excited when I got the chance to try out the Vegetable wash.  This is perfect timing in the year.  I love to buy from the Farmers markets and stock up from the store but I am always wondering if it is actually clean even after I use water.  So when I got the chance to try this one out I jumped on it.  This is very easy to mix.  Just open the package and pour into the bottle which they provided.  Add water shake up and ready to go.  I just clean the fruit off with water first and spray and clean again.  I was amazed at how much more dirt and who knows what else I saw come off the fruit when I sprayed it.    Then I just cut up and serve or freeze as normal.  This spray did not change the taste of it at all.  All I had left was clean and fresh fruit.

Igozen is an organic product made from seashells.  When I first read that I totally wondered if I would get crunches on my fruit or a salt flavor but neither of these happened.  I usually do not copy from there description but I could not say it better than they did “ Due to its micro- fine size particles, it can penetrate deep underneath food surfaces to remove waste, toxins, pesticides, and bacteria that no other cleaner can. It is completely chemical free, odorless, and leaves no after taste. “.  This was a fantastic product that I am so happy I have.  Not only am I getting my fruit cleaner in just a few seconds of time but it is healthier for my baby boy who will eat fruit like candy and all day long.  I would totally recommend IGOZEN, also check out the rest of their amazing products below.  I have used a few others in the past and loved them all.

Kiva Organic Cacao Powder (Cocoa – Chocolate Powder)

OMG Cacao Powder.  For those of you that know me you know I really don’t have to write much more, you know where I am going with this.   I love anything Cacao and a powder that I can add to anything even better.  For those of you that do not know me.  Yes I added it to everything.  I even ate it right off the spoon in powder form, and no I do not feel guilty at all about it.    I have to say my favorite thing was I got my ice cream and sprinkled it on top.  OMG this was so good and there is no sugar added to this Cacao powder so I was not adding any UN needed sugar to my ice cream.  Yes I know how that sounds but just because I want sweet does not mean I have to pack the sugar on.  Another great one for all you moms out there I also use this to make baby boy chocolate milk.  He loves the taste and I know I am not packing the sugar in it like with the other mixes.  Next I will be doing hot coco for mama yaaa.

You can use this great mix for so many different things, to sprinkle over yogurt, on fruit (which I definitely have to try) in smoothies, baking and more.  This powder is all natural, no sugar or fillers and in my opinion taste great.  I can’t believe how much you get in the bag.  This is going to last us a long time and we will be using it daily.  You do not need to refrigerate once you open it just store in a cool dark place for us that is our pantry.  It is USDA Organic and 100% Cacao powder.  I loved, loved, loved this powder and I would totally recommend it to everyone.

As you all know I have been a fan of Ozeri products for a long time.  They not only make great quality products but they are perfect for your everyday life.  They look great in your home and are easy to use.   They can withstand a crazy 3 year old and they last.  Not one product that I have gotten has been broken even when little guy gets a hold of it.

The Pepper grinder was perfect for our house.  We love to have fresh ground pepper in our house.  I use it on salads and in so many recipes.  I always got one of those little hand held ones and let’s be honest you are turning that thing back and forth for a very long time just to get a little.  This was very easy to use and saves us so much more money.  It is reusable so I am not throwing away that little container every time and I can buy my pepper in bulk and just refill as needed.  Just add 4 batteries and pepper and you are ready to go.  Just push the button and you have fresh ground pepper whenever you need it.  I loved this pepper grinder and would recommend it to everyone.

Mighty Leaf Tea

Yaaaaa I love tea and mighty leaf is one of the best I have had the pleasure of trying.  When I got the chance to try these out I got the choice of Tropical or World Teas.  As you all know I of course picked tropical and I am so happy I did.  These teas not only had a fantastic flavor but also brewed up perfectly and were fantastic hot and cold.  The three flavors I got were African Nectar, Vanilla bean and Green Tea Tropical.  All of them were fantastic.  I loved that on the side of each box they had whether there was caffeine or not, so I knew not to drink the caffeine ones at night.   I also got a fantastic commuter mug designed for my tea bags, so I could pull the tab threw and I was on my way for the day.

Mighty Leaf is a family owned company who use all natural ingredients.  They even designed they own silken tea bags to hold all the wonderful tea leaves, blossoms, herbs and fruit.  They are hand stitched with unbleached cotton. So no glue or staples in your tea.  I love that these teas are organic and they are a good fit for my new diet.  I get a great tasting beverage that helps me relax and I am not consuming tons of calories.  I love this tea company and would recommend them to everyone.

Silicone Bakeware

I got this to use and I was excited to try it.  It is hard enough cooking in high altitude but if you dont have the right pans there is no way your muffins will come out right.  With my normal pans the tops of the muffins would be just done and the bottoms would be burnt.  My family loves strawberry muffins so I tried it out.  They turned out perfect.  Cooked perfect on the tops and the bottoms.  They were also very easy to get out of the pan.  I did not lose one.  When you have a hungry 3 year old and hubby losing even one can mean you have to cook a whole new batch.

When you first get this pan make sure to clean it well with soap and water do not use an abrasive brush.  Then you just dry and cook.  I did use cooking spray and they slide right out of the pan.  To clean just clean with soap and water again and you are ready to go again.  This took no time at all to clean because nothing stuck to it.   This was a fantastic muffin pan to use.  I will be using this one every morning.

Dimples Skewers

This was probably one of the best recipes I have ever made.  I could not get enough we made it the next 3 nights after this first night.  Please be cautious Dimples is addicting and you will fall in love.

What you will need

Dimples BBQ Sauce

Teriyaki sauce

Soy sauce

Garlic Salt

Orange juice

Hot Sesame oil

Boneless skinless Chicken thighs

Orange peppers

Yellow peppers

Garlic

Onions

Skewers

Take the chicken cut into about 1 inch pieces

Throw into bag

Add in about ½ cup Dimples, drizzle in some soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, crushed garlic, garlic salt hot sesame oil and orange juice.

Let marinate for about 4-5 hours

Soak wood skewers for about 30 minutes before using

Cut up the orange pepper, yellow pepper, and onion into about ½ inch pieces

Put everything on the skewers.  I like to do pepper, chicken onion chicken, pepper (you get it)

Cook on BBQ till it is done and eat away

This marinade was one of the best I have ever had and I hope you will love it too.

BC Chicken

I was looking up recipes for bacon wrapped chicken breast and I found a lot that added sweat ingredients and it popped in my head.  Woo Hooo Dimples rub is sweat and so off to cook I went.  This turned out so good I am now out of my dimples rub because we made this over and over again. Lol

What you need

Chicken breast

Dimples rub

Bacon

After the chicken is defrosted cover both sides with the dimples rub (I used boneless skinless tenders)

Take your bacon and wrap up your breast.  I accidently bought thin cut so I used double pieces to wrap them up

Sprinkle the bacon wrapped breast with more rub.

Cook at 450 for about 20 – 25 minutes until bacon is cooked

You are done yummy yummy

This is so quick and easy and hubby went nuts for it.

Ozeri Green Earth 10” Pan Review

When I first got this pan in the mail the first thing I told hubby was wow look how awesome this pan is.  I knew from the moment I opened it that I was going to be in love.  Not only does it have my non stick coating that I love but it was so deep I could make anything in this and not have to worry about it spilling.    As you can see from the picture the tortilla I made for baby boy just slipped right out no sticking at all.

Next we made a grilled cheese sandwich.  In our house this is the biggest test for a pan.  They really do have to cook even and not stick to be a good sandwich and as you can see it came out perfect and slipped right out of the pan.  This pan is 100% PTFE and PFOA free.  It is ceramic with a non stick coating.  I love Ozeri products they make a very wide range of product for all your household needs. I would recommend them to everyone.

Jiva Organics Turmeric Ground seasoning

I have to be honest here when I first got the opportunity to try this one I had no idea what it was or how to use it.  After a little research I found that it is used on everything from eggs to meat to veggies.  So I decided to make a chicken/port veggie mix in the oven and it turned out fantastic.  I used yellow peppers, orange peppers, onion, chicken breast and a pork chop.  Put it all in tinfoil and added Turmeric, soy sauce and a little bar-b-q sauce.  I wrapped it up and cooked at 350 for about 45 minutes and it was fantastic.

Jiva Organics is a small family business that brings you only completely natural and certified organic products.   They do not use any artificial flavors or preservatives.    They have a ton of different spices so if you are looking for something you use every day or to try something new make sure to check them out.   You will get a lot for your money and they are organic you cannot beat that.  I would recommend them to everyone.  Bring out your inner cook and try something new.  You never know what you will discover.
