SmartLab Vortex Generator

My little guy is obsessed with all thing’s vortex.  When I saw this awesome Stem toy Ultimate Vortex Generator at the show I knew he was going to go nuts.  He gets to play and do experiments while watching the vortex to see what they do.

If you have a little one that loves learning and great science toys then this is a must have this season.  The instruction book that comes with it also has great facts and experiments for your little one.  The instruction book has over 20 experiments that will keep your kids intrigued and having a blast.

SmartLab Vortex Generator

Set up for this is no time at all.  It is just put the batteries in , set the magnet into the beaker and be ready to go.  The most time we spent was looking for other stuff to put in the vortex to watch them go.

SmartLab Vortex Generator

When filling the large beaker with water do not fill to the top the vortex will change the water level.  If you do over fill it no worries there is a great catch tray to put on the bottom so no big mess to clean up.

SmartLab Vortex Generator

As you can see he put everything he could think of in the vortex.  He loved to see what the stuff would do with the vortex on and off.  We have this set up in our kitchen and every day he comes home with a new idea of what he wants to try.

The SmartLab Vortex Generator is a winner in our home.  He has played with it every day and still get’s so excited.  When you are holiday shopping this year don’t forget to get a few learning toys from Smart Lab they have a wide range that are going to be fun and educational for your little ones.

Around the Farm Family Game Night

Around the Farm Game

Around The Farm is a fantastic memory game that we all loved.  As you all know my son loves farm animals what he loves even more is any baby animal.

Around the Farm Game

Around The Farm is a perfect game for him.  Each player gets parent cards the amount of how many you get depends on how many players.  You place the parent cards in front of you then all the baby cards faced down.  The youngest player goes first and spins the dial.  They get to turn that many cards over trying to match the babies to the parent.  If you get a match you get to keep them and put them on the parent card.  If they don’t match you turn them back over in the same spot.  Then off to the next player.  The winner will be the one that matches 3 baby cards to each of the parent cards in front of them.

Around the Farm Game

Around the Farm Game was a great memory game.  I was so proud of my son he did awesome and he was so excited when he found the baby to give to the parent.  If you have a little one who loves games then this one will be a must this year.  SO much fun for the whole family.

Can you make Porcupine’s Pie ?

tabbyspantry

When it comes to books in our home the more books the better.  My son loves to sit down and read every night.  The nights leading up to the holidays my son gets a new book to unwrap and is so excited to hit bed and start reading.

While he loves all kinds of books I love ones that help him understand the world and being nice.  Having an autistic son for us means he can not always understand why we should do something, or what the nice thing to do is.  While he would give you the shirt off his back if you asked he would never think to offer what he has.

Porcupine’s Pie is a fantastic book about friendship and sharing what you have.  With friends there should not always be a need to ask sometimes your friend should just know what you need and offer.  This book has helped him a lot.  Yesterday I said I was thirsty and he offered me his juice.  This is a big step for him.

This is one of the little things in life we as adults know about, but sometimes need some reminding that our kids still have to be tout everything.

The writing in this is very cute and fun to read.  The pictures are also cute and my son picked up what was going on in the story just from the pictures even before I did.  At the end of the book it also gives you a fantastic recipe for Friendship Pie.  Such a great way to end the book.  When you are done reading you can get more great family time in cooking together.

This holiday season make sure to pick up a copy Porcupine’s Pie then you can make a pie together to bring to that holiday get together.

In the tradition of Amblin classics, master frightener and director Eli Roth’s The House With a Clock in its Walls is a family-friendly fantasy film that “stands alongside the ‘just for kids’ classics of the 1980’s and 1990’s” (Forbes).

Why buddyPhones ?

tabbyspantry 2 Comments

buddyPhones   Do you have a little that loves their devices, but you are tired of hearing every word that is said?  Do you have a little like mine who has sensory issues?  Do you have a trip coming up for the holidays?  If you said yes to any of these that is why you need buddyPhones.  This great set of ear phones was made for your little one.

buddyPhones

The buddyPhones has a 14-hour battery life.  Yes. You heard that right you can go 14 hours without having to charge them again.  You also read that right, no batteries these are as simple as charge and go. So, if traveling just bring the charger no need to pack a ton of extra batteries.

buddyPhones

The buddyPhones are wireless so no worries about all those wires hanging down and getting caught on stuff. They are also Volume limiting.  You can set volume setting that is right for your kids.

Now why my son loves them.  The ear parts are very soft so when he wears these because the level of noise from the world is too loud they don’t hurt his ears.  They are adjustable.  You can make sure these are fitting their head right, they are not slipping off the whole time. BuddyPhones also comes in four great colors with a set of stickers so they can make them their own.

They can decorate them so they will always be exactly what they want.  If you child prefers to plug in they do come with the plug.  It is removable and comes with a carrying case.  You can make sure that you have everything in one place when on the go.  They also fold up so they don’t take up as much room.  With all these great features you can see why buddyPhones is a must have on our holiday Gift Guide this year.
