As I have mentioned before I love sticky notes I have them everywhere throughout the house.  I also leave notes in my husband’s lunch and my sons lunch.  Just so they know I am thinking about them during the day.  I was so excited to get the chance to work with Sticky Quotes.  They have great inspirational messages and some cute and funny ones.  They are perfect for every day.

Most of these notes also leave a little space so I can leave a note or message of my own.  My two favorite so far are the lunch box notes and the fitspiration notes.

My son loves getting the lunchbox ones in his lunch.  He still cannot read so he takes them to his teacher every day to have them read them to him.  They have also fell in love with these. They are cute, funny and loving.  He really gets a kick out of reading them every day.

The fitness ones I write my daily notes on.  When I see, them sitting around it reminds me to get up and move a little.  Sometimes I need a little motivation to get up and get my workout in.  these great notes make sure I get up and get going.

National Geographic Little readers

Do you have a little reader in the house?  My son is just not learning so when the National Geographic’s books showed up I was so excited.  In school, he is excelling at math, but when it comes to reading he had no desire to learn.  I am excited to say he not only loved the books, but loved the pictures too. I loved that they are in stages so he has new books to grow with him.

My son loved animals, these books not only have cute animals for him to see but he also gets to learn about them.  They also have fun facts on the side which he loves.  We live in the country so he gets to see so many animals, now he loves to find them in the book and we learn about them when they come by.  He has been eager to learn how to spell the animals names this is the first time he has actually shown interest in reading and learning more.

National Geographic

The Animal Ark book not only fantastic pictures of wonderful animal’s you kids will fall in love with. They have little poems for your little one to learn.  The poems are small enough that they can learn them but they are also very cute.

Every child has their own way to learn, with my son these books were fantastic.  He is excited to pick them up and not only learn new words, but learn something new about the animals.  I was truly impressed not only with the books but with the pictures.  They are all around beautiful.

Relax with Maple Holistics Lavender bath salts

I have had the chance to try out a few of Maple Holistics products, they have a great line of products that are natural and holistic.  I love that they have all been gentle enough to use on my baby boy and for me.  Now with the bath salts I saved all these for me.  There is nothing like having a nice relaxing bath with the light scent of lavender.

The lavender bath salts have a wonderful scent, but it was not overwhelming.  As you can see they really fill the bag, they are not going to give you a half full bag you have replace right away.  They dissolved quickly and just left a nice relaxing bath.  If you are having trouble falling asleep at night I would completely suggest their Lavender Bath Salts.

I love that Maple Holistics is made in the USA, and have all natural products.  Their products are also cruelty free, sulfate free and safe for color.   They really put a lot of thought and work into their products to make them safe for your family.  When I was, younger I have to admit, I would try anything.  Now I understand my mom’s need for safer products for us when we were kids. I don’t want to be using a ton of chemicals on my son.  I want his natural skin and glow to last as long as possible.

I am sure most of you remember the number of days last year I had to take off from the blog from hubby’s back going out. It was way too many to count. When his back goes out not only is he grumpy, but he can’t move. So, I am doing everything. I have only had this happen to me once, but I can tell you there is almost no pain like you’re back going out. I would be grumpy too if this was a normal thing for me. When I got the chance to try out this back brace I was so excited. If it could really make a difference for hubby it will be one of the top products I have gotten the chance to try. I had high expectations, considering back braces seem to work for a lot of people who regularly experience back pain. However, I am also aware other methods can be more effective at tackling back pain, such as the use of non-narcotic cannabinoids, known as CBD Oil UK wide. This cannabinoid is effective at reducing pain symptoms that many of us experience at least once in our lives. If back pain returns, trying CBD oil instead of the back brace may be interesting to see how effective it is. One of my friend’s children always wears a back brace because she suffers from scoliosis and back pain. Whilst her back brace does help her, she recently visited Southwest Scoliosis Institute to discuss some treatment options as her scoliosis was beginning to cause her some pain. My friend actually sent over a link to their website the other day, because apparently back pain is one of the first symptoms of scoliosis. She said maybe it’s worth my husband getting tested for the condition. If this back brace doesn’t work, maybe we’ll have to book an appointment.

When it came, we had three guys here begging for the chance to try it. Hubby, of course, got the honor. So, using it was the first thing we had to figure out, there are no directions with it. It was very straight forward on how to use it. Wrap it around fasten it and use the side fasteners to tighten it. The minute he put it on he could tell a difference. His back mussels were not working as hard as they were before. He could actually relax a little.

He has worn this brace when he works for about a week now and says his back has never felt better. He works on his feet all day bending over a workbench. I am so excited this has really made a difference in his life. If you have chronic back pain or just every once and a while then adding this to your day could really make a difference. Visiting a spine doctor would be the best thing you could do if your pain is recurring often. One of my friends had back pains every day so she went to see a doctor. Apparently, the doctor told her he could ‘get rid of your back pain problems this week‘ which she was really pleased about! Luckily, she isn’t experiencing these pains anymore but she still wears a back brace from time to time. I’m really glad the hubby has found this back brace useful. He was worried at first it would not be comfortable, but he said after a little while he did not even notice it was there.

Beech Tree Body Products

As you guys know I love to find great body products. With winters, here I basically walk around with lotion all the time. I love to find a great lotion and soap that not only smells fantastic but works like a dream. BeechTree has a fantastic line of products that smell wonderful and best of all the products work fantastic.

The lotions come in different scents and leave my hands silky soft. They did not leave my hands greasy at all so I could use my electronics right after using them. This is a big deal in my world. When inspiration for writing a review hits I don’t have time to wait. I need to get typing right away or ill forget what I wanted to say. I love that these are also travel size. When I hop on the plane I can put them in my bag because they are 2oz so they are ok to fly with me.

The soaps like the lotions smell fantastic, they did not leave a residue on my skin after using them. On another plus side the scents fill the air in the bathroom when I am not using them. I had someone walk into the bathroom and say they love the air freshener, they were floored when I told them that was the soap. For your next question, no the smell of the soap is not overwhelming.

I am going to tell you a funny story about the Dog Shampoo. Here in Colorado a lot of the dog owners are fishermen so when it comes time to wash their dogs they just let them play in the river. As any dog owner knows this may wash the top layer of dirt off, but all you have left is the wet dog smell. That never goes away lol. So, we tested this out on a few of our fishing dogs. It worked fantastic. It even got through the thick fur of the husky. I was so excited to have clean smelling puppy’s and even they were excited, after the bath, of course, most of them hate the process lol. Get your baby’s temp without waking them up

In our family when the little guy gets sick he gets a bad temperature. He can get up to 105 at times and we have to keep an eye on him all night and all day. I hate when he finally falls asleep and I have to take his temp, I always wake him up. We often use stick on fever indicators so that we don’t have to wake him up but it looks like we’ve left it at Grandma’s! We’ve been using out back up thermometer but it means waking up a very tired and exhausted baby and then it’s hours of crying and cuddling just to get him back to sleep. With his temp, I can’t just leave him and not check him. So, when I got the chance to try the non-contact & Infrared Thermometer I was so excited.

Now all I have to do is point and click and I get a temp reading on my little guy without waking him up. It gives a very fast reading and even has a fever alarm so if you are half asleep and doing it no worries about mistakes. This thermometer will also give you milk temp, water temp, and ambient temp. It took me awhile to learn how to change the settings from c to f but once I got it I was on a roll.

My son also has a blast checking out the temps of other stuff in the house and the cat and dogs. This is so easy to use even he can use it. If you are looking for a great way to not only check your sleeping baby’s temp but also other products around the house this is a must have. I have tried it out on a ton of stuff and it has always worked. I am very impressed with this one. This also came with a travel bag. I can just stick it in the bag in my night stand and have it handy any time I need it.

Instant Pot Ribs

Instant Pot

I have heard tons about the Instant Pot for quite a long time now.  Even my sister called me and said you have to get one.  So I was very excited when I got the chance to review the Instant Pot.  Quick and easy meals and quick and easy clean up.  What more can a busy mom ask for.

2 cups apple juice

2 Table spoons Worcestershire

Seasoned ribs cut to smaller pieces

Dimples BBQ Sauce

 

Instant pot

Place Steaming rack in Instant Pot.  Juices at the bottom and ribs on steamer

Cook for 55 minutes with meat/stew button.

Let vent on its own

Take out and place on cookie sheet.  Cover with BBQ sauce and bake at 350 for 5 – 10 minutes. (just long enough for sauce to cook in a little)

Take out and serve.

These ribs were falling off the bone in less than an hour.  I normally have to BBQ them for hours to get them this great.  The Instant Post was awesome.  I can say that I do not know how I ever lived without it.  Fantastic food in less than an hour.  If you are busy mom like me this is a must in any kitchen.  I thought it was going to be hard to use but once I got stared it was so easy.  The clean up after was also a breeze.  Nothing stuck to the pot or the steaming rack. I was truly impressed with the Instant Pot.  I even started a Pinterest board for all the great recipes I found.  Don’t forget to follow us for more, and be on the lookout for more of our great recipes.

As you all know I cannot stand fish so I just quit taking them. I am pleased to tell you these give you the same benefits without the fishy burps. I am hooked.
