                 Dream Farm Review And Bacon Red Bean Recipe

 

I got the chance to try out this great supoon from Dream Farm and what is the best way to try out a cooking tool?  That is right to make a great meal with it.


 

 

 

For this recipe you will need red beans, an onion (I used yellow) , Garlic, bacon, red peppers, chilie pepper,Chilie powder.   

And a great supoon that will not sit on your counter picking up germs and making a mess.  Have you ever put your spoon on your counter while cooking just to realize you never cleaned the counter?  Happens to me all the time.  Yes I do have a spoon rest but let’s be honest I look at it and think well if I use it I will have to clean 1 more thing.lol

 

First I soak my beans overnight it will hydrate them and cut down on cooking time in the morning. When you are ready to start drain the beans and rinse.

Then I cut up my bacon and start cooking it. I use a LB of bacon but this is up to you my hubby is a bacon lover.

    While this is cooking I press my garlic and chop very very small ½ of my onion.

                
Save time for later chop the other 1/2 of the onion and freeze for a later use, why do it twice. 🙂

When the bacon is almost done I drain most of the grease I leave a little for flavor and add in the onion and garlic.  I let these cook together for awhile while constantly stirring.

When these have blended well together I add my beans and water.

Add my seasoning and just let cook for about 3-4 hrs stirring occasionally.

Cut some bread add a little butter and yummy umm great warm meal done.  You can also throw all ingredients in the slow cooker for a finished meal when you get home.


 

When the beans are cooking I rest the supoon against the pan it never warmed up and was quick and easy to walk by and stir.    I found this to be a great all around tool in the kitchen.  It was not only a spoon but also had an edge like a spatula for stirring and flipping and does not scratch the pan. It truly went from spatula, to spoon to serving utensil and it was all in one.  I used this one supoon threw the whole meal ushly I would have had to use three different tools to cook this. It was quick and easy to clean nothing stuck to it so it just washed right off. A great kitchen tool 100% suggest to everyone this will replace a whole lot in my drawer.

Wooo Hooo do I love soda. So its got to be a pretty good soda to impress me and soda stream did.

 

 

It was easy to use just put in the carbonation tube fill with cold water , carbonate it and poor in your flavor and done, you get fresh soda in about 2 minutes.  A few things I loved about this machine.

  1. You don’t have to make a 2 liter, for my family as soon as you get ½ way threw a 2 liter it is flat and goes to waste.
  2. No plugging in. that is right if you are like me you have ton’s of appliances, that all have to be plugged in you run out of room and plugs this one no plug. Woo hoo
  3. So many great flavors you can have something new every day.
  4. Easy to use and very quick to make.
  5. No storing tons of 2 liters or can’s
  6. My trash is not full of soda boxes and cans.

 

They have so many great flavors you can try. So far my fav’s are of course the cola, lemon lime, root beer, and the green tea citrus.

 

If you like mixed drinks I total recommend the cranberry raspberry makes a great mix drink .

 

I would totally recommend this product to everyone. It is a great machine easy to use and clen up is almost nothing. Even if you are not a soda drinker they have ginger-ale, energy drink’s, lemonaid and so many others.

I got the chance to try the Acai Grape Pomegranate and it was great.

 

 

Have you ever wanted something to drink you know you should be drinking water but you want something with taste.  This was perfect.  I just added a little to the bottle of water that I had and was done. It tasted great and I could add the amount that I wanted if I wanted more flavor I just added more.    They taste great I can’t wait to try there other flavors.

Swords Of The East Bear Grylls Gerber Survival Knife Review

I got the chance to try out this great Gerber knife and I am in love with it. Not only is it very light weight (I cannot even tell it is in my pocket), But it is also serrated on the one end and smooth on the other. As you all know we are a fishing family so this knife is perfect for us. The serrated edge cuts right through our fishing line with no problem at all. It’s a lot stronger then you would think it is. I thought it would be very flimsy but this is a very strong knife. Hubby, of course, stole this from me right away and it has become his everything and everyday knife. There are loads of other survival knives that we could try though such as the ESEE 6, however, it’s all about finding the right one for you.

This knife is thin and light weight. Has a very easy and close/lock back. It has a lifetime warranty. It also came with a very informative survival guide. There is an oversized finger notch in the handle so your hand will not slip as much. (This came in really handy when our hands were wet from fishing. Swords of the East makes a wide range of knifes no matter what you need it for you are sure to find the perfect one here. We have always had a knife from them and have loved every single one. For over 15 years now we have yet for one of them to break on us. I would recommend them to everyone.

Country Bob’s

I was given the opportunity to Review Country Bob’s all purpose sauce.  We decided to make the pork loin a recipe in a little book that came with the Sauce.  Now first of all let me tell you me and hubby are big time BBQ’s we love to cook everything, but this also means we have bought hundreds of sauces and marinades and there have been quite a few of them that went straight into the trash.  Country Bob’s will never be one of those.  Not only was the sauce great for marinade but it is also great for a dipping sauce.

 

The pork loin turned out fantastic juicy and tasted great.  My two year old son uses it as a dipping sauce for everything including his pizza.  This is a product that I will make sure to always keep in the house.  We have to give it the two thumbs up.

 

Here is the recipe we used from Country Bobs recipe book we cut it in half.

2 large whole pork tenderloins

1 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup sesame oil

3 garlic cloves

1 T ground ginger

1 bottle country bobs

 

mix all together marinate and grill yumm yumm

I love anything that can get my family up and moving and having a blast.  Know what I love even more that this great game/set does not use a net.  I don’t have to worry about finding enough space and setting up a net. We just bring our set with us anywhere we go and we can have a great game at any time.  I even have vaulted ceilings in the house so I can play inside during winter. Don’t worry all I have no breakables around the 4 year old has already broken them all.lol If we do decide to play outside in the snow the pieces are bright enough I will be able to find them anywhere.

I got a bottle of Dimples BBQ sauce to try last week.  I opened up the bottle to smell it and immediately thought “ this BBQ sauce would go great with ribs”.  So off to the store we went to pick up the ribs.

 

After covering the ribs with olive oil and garlic salt and pepper, we BBQ them till they were almost done , then wrapped them in tinfoil with Dimples covering the ribs. We then cooked for about another 45 minutes on low.

 

The ribs were falling off the bone with some of the most wonderful BBQ sauce I have ever tasted.  Dimples has a sweet and smokey with a hint of tang  that blends together perfectly.  For me I am not a big fan of the smoke taste but in this sauce it was perfect not to strong but still enough to get that great BBQ taste.   Me and my husband ate a full rack of ribs it was so good. Next week we are doing BBQ chicken with this great sauce.  No worries all I will make sure to post it as soon as we eat it next week.  What do you think we should do legs or breast

Bare Fruit Chips

I was given the opportunity to try Bare Fruit Cinnamon Apple chips.   As you all know I am a snacker, I snack most of the day. I found that these make a great snack, I passed up the greasy chips and grabbed these.  They were great.  Have you ever picked an apple straight from the tree, it has this sweet taste you just can’t match,  I do not know how they do it but somehow they have keep that great sweet taste in these chips.  They are crunch snack without them being to crunchy.  I love that the filled me up without making me feel sluggish and slow. It is truly a healthy snack.

If you are like me you ushly do not buy the big bags because they go stale (especially here in Colorado) before you even get threw ½ the bag.  This is not a problem for this snack; it comes with a reseal able bag.   I love this option; I can take out a bowl full re seal and not worry about it going stale on me.

 

Wondering how your little ones would like them.  My Baby boy loved them,  It was great I gave him a bowl and he put down his other snack grabbed the bowl and off he went, he came back for more in a few minutes and wanted more.  I love that it is a great healthy snack that I can give him any time of the day.

My Little Pony

Guess what’s coming all?  That’s right the new My little pony Rainbow Rocks.  We were so excite when we got the chance to pre view this new movie.  My little guy loves My Little Pony and he was jumping up and down when this showed up.   This was a fun filled movie about a battle of the bands that only My little pony could do.  The Rainblooms vs. The Dazzlings, we will find out that The Dazzlings are up to more than just trying to win the battle of the bands.  The Rainbooms with Princess Twilight must come together to help restore harmony to their world.   This was a fantastic movie that even keep me on the edge of the set waiting to see what would happen.  The 3 sing along extras will get your little one involved and having fun with this movie. We had to play these over and over again I even catch him signing to himself now. Lol There was 8 prequel shorts that my son liked very much.  I liked the audio commentary but my son did not stay for much of it.
