I cannot tell you how pleased I was with everything in my box.  Don’t worry if sweets are not your things.  For my Pantry box, I picked to have tons of sweets, but you can pick to not get them.  When the box showed up I immediately lost the Pineapple cakes and the Coffee Caramels.  My hubby grabbed them up right away and loved them.  The butter cookies and the chocolate bar I swept up right away.  Just to be nice I shared the rest with the family.  Everything in the box was fantastic and gone within days lol.  If you love to try great foods from around the world you cannot go wrong with try The World Pantry Box.

Shark Vacuum Rocket Duo Clean

When it comes to Vacuums, I have learned to go with the better one. Last year my Vacuum broke and I ran down to the local store and bought a new cheap one when what I really needed was one of the best vacuums for high pile carpet. Well, a few months late I was back at the store buying a new one and on and on and on. When all was said and done, I had spent about twice as much on these cheap vacuums then I would have if I just went out and bought that good one in the first place. Lesson learned.

When me and little guy can’t sleep, like most we watch infomercials. My son is one of those kids who loves cleaning items. He actually asks for them for presents. Then, one night we saw the Shark Rocket commercial and he went nuts. He just had to have this vacuum. He loved the look of it, I had always thought it seemed like a good product, and other reviewers also pointed their outstanding performance, so when we got the chance from Shark to try out this vacuum I was so excited. When it showed up I wrapped it up and let him open it up for Christmas. He was jumping up and down when he saw what it was.

The Vacuum was very easy to put together, it took just a few minutes. When I plugged it in and started it up I was floored. The worst part about the holidays is cleaning up everything that falls from the tree. Last year I actually had to sweep the rugs and vacuum for a few months before I got everything up. With the Shark Rocket one swipe over and they were gone. It was cleaned in seconds.

I love the vacuum also has tons of attachments. I can clean everywhere and everything in just a few minutes. I don’t have to go over spots over and over again. Emptying the vacuum is quick and easy just a push of a button and I am done. The compartment also holds a lot more then I would have thought. This vacuum was also strong enough to pick up everything. While the old one would spit out a lot of stuff this one sucks it right up.

Ice, Ice, Baby: How To Care For Your Skin in Cold & Icy Temperatures

The cold weather that we experience in winter is not fun for our skin. In fact, if we don’t take care of our skin in the right way, it can actually be a little detrimental. So it is important that we do take good care of our skin in the colder months. The cold and low humidity mean that there isn’t much moisture in the air. While this might be good news for our hair, it isn’t good news for our skin. It can lead to cracking, soreness and even bleeding skin. So here are some top tips for taking care of your skin in winter.

Avoid Hot Showers

 

By avoiding hot showers, it doesn’t mean that you have to have cold showers. But instead of a piping hot shower, choose a lukewarm one instead. When the water is too hot, it can strip away the natural oils in your skin. It can also be too harsh on your skin when you have come in from the cold. Showers that are too hot can lead to your skin drying out more than normal too.

 

Exfoliate

 

Exfoliating is an important part of any skin care routine. It can help you in treating acne, as well as helping to keep your skin hydrated. Exfoliating means that the dead skin cells on your skin are brushed off. It is easier to get moisture into your skin when it doesn’t have to battle through layers of dead skin cells. So even in winter, it still needs to be part of your routine. An easy way to do it in the shower is to get an exfoliating body wash. Just be sure to moisturize your skin immediately after getting out of the shower.

Humidify

When you go inside a warm house after being outside in the cold, it can feel like such a relief. But if it is done too often, it can actually lead to your skin drying out. So if you and your family suffer from dry skin, it might be worth getting an ultrasonic humidifier. Then when you are at home, you can keep warm with the heating on but not dry out your skin.
 

Eat Well

 

We can apply lots of things to our skin. But it will only ever help to a certain extent. The way to hydrate our skin fully is to also hydrate our skin from the inside out. One obvious choice to help hydrate from the inside out is to drink plenty of water. It can make a huge difference to the elasticity of your skin, the number of toxins in your skin, as well as the plumpness of your skin. It is also important to eat plenty of the right foods. They can give you a much-needed vitamin boost in winter too. So choose plenty of fruits and vegetables like celery, apples, tomato, watermelon, carrots, kiwi and cantaloupe. They are all packed with vitamin C, but as they are quite watery fruit and vegetables, they help to hydrate you too.

         Our family loves nothing more than new pool toys.  Living in Colorado I don’t get to play in a pool much anymore, but when I do, it’s on.  I am so excited to try out this new Watermelon ball with my nephews.  This is a perfect game for us all.  When filled, this ball will be up to 9 in the perfect size for a little pool time fun.  I like that it’s a little smaller than the normal pool balls so even the little guys could have some fun with it.

With the new year starting I am always thinking about what I can do to be a little healthier this year.  I don’t make resolutions I just try a little harder every year.  This year I am using oils to help not only my mood but my all-around wellbeing.  There are so many uses for them, and with Simply Earth Subscription box every month I get to discover a few more uses.  I love that they not only send you the oils but also the cards for different uses.  You can also of course use them in your diffuser.  I love my diffuser when I change the scents I notice not only does my mood change with them, but my house smells fantastic.

It’s that time of year again.  When most of us are hoping, we will be a little more organized this year.  With At-a-Glance organizer I might have a fighting chance.  This organizer is separated by month.   Under each month, they also have the full moth at a glance and spots to put daily.  This is great for someone like me.  Sometimes I have one thing to do a day, other times I have 5 things to do all at different times.

It also has a laminated holiday list on the back.  So, if you can’t remember a certain date you can look it up at just a glance.  This organizer is going to make a big difference in my life.

Neebo Baby Monitor

The loss of a child is every parent’s biggest fear. When you have already loss a child the fear gets so much worse. After I lost my first son when I had another little one I was so worried about everything I don’t think to this day I have slept through the night. Even though my new little angel had started sleeping through the night at 4 days old I could not. Whether he was in my room or in his own I would wake up so worried and run to him to make sure he was breathing. I would have nights that I would just sit there and watch to make sure. Even though I had the best baby monitor ever, it really was no help. Yes, I could hear if he was awake but I did not know if he stopped breathing or if he rolled over and was smothering himself.

Neebo could have made a big difference in those first few years. Neebo does so much more than just tell you if your little one is awake it also tells you your baby’s heart rate, oxygen saturation, thermal state and sound, as well as a smart alert system. You will now know all your little one’s stats with just a look. I to this day have never left my little guy with anyone besides my parents and my sister. This great monitor will also let you hear what’s going on around them when you are away. So, if they have to be a day care or with a nanny during the day, or when you go out at night you can hear what is going on. I love this idea I would be a little more trusting if I could hear everything lol. This monitor is also a fantastic price I believe it comes out to around $200 which I paid the same for my monitor that did not do even 1/3 as much. If you want the best for you little one Neebo is a must check out. I can’t tell you how much better the nights would have been for me and my hubby who I keep waking up, if I had the Neebo monitor.
