For this review I got to check out the Pentel Sharp mechanical pencil.   These actually have a very special meaning to me. As a kid in school as most of you know most are not allowed to use pens. We have to use pencils. I could hear them writing on paper it was a very annoying and sometimes migraine causing sound to me. This was the worst till one teacher introduced me to mechanical pencils. I was still using the pencil that they said I had to use but it made school time so much easier for me. I did not get the migraines anymore and I got a lot more done during school.

These pencils are perfect for any kid in school or everyday life. They write very smoothly and have a covered eraser, so no worries about making a mistake you can always fix it. There is no more sharpening with these just click and you are ready to go. I also loved the metallic colors of these pencils. Pentel makes a fantastic mechanical pencil they are a must check out.

#PampersSavings Making Potty Training Easier

pampers 2

When I was potty training my little guy I was so tired of buying diapers. I am sure a lot of you can relate. I tried to do the all or nothing. I went from diapers to big boy pants. Wow, I cannot tell you how big of a mistake that was. I wish I had checked out product reviews earlier on, so then I could make a better decision on what diapers would be better for my boy. With that being said, if you don’t want to make the same mistake I did, maybe this would be for the best, especially as you’d only want what’s best for your kids. The amount of money I wasted I had to just threw away so many pairs of big boy underwear they were ruined. Not to mention the mattress was destroyed you can never get that smell out, also doing sheets 3 times a day. Then I got smart and switched to Pampers easy ups. I had trusted pampers the whole time before I don’t know why it took me so long to smarten up and do it step by step like everyone else. As soon as we switched he potty trained so much faster. He had a big boy diaper that was easy to pull on and off. They were way more comfortable with the stretchy sides and best of all. If he did have an accident it was not that big of a deal, we just grabbed a new one and tried again.

IMG_3629

One of the things I loved the most was the pampers coupons. I love all types of coupons and shop with a coupon when I can. Coupons come in extra handy when you have a newborn as you are constantly having to buy wipes, diapers and whatnot. They were not the little coupons that were not worth you time to cut or print. They do high value coupons and they really did make a difference to our budget. They are offing these coupons to everyone. You can cut them from this Sundays paper (May 15th 2016) or you can head to coupons.com and print your coupons. This month’s coupon is for $2.50 OFF one Pampers Diapers or Training Pants. If you are in the potty training mode in your house make sure to print and/or cut your coupons before they are gone. This is a great time to get a few papers and stock up for the next few weeks.

Dreft Baby Shower

dreft

For my first baby shower, I had no idea what I was going to need. I registered for everything from a bouncer (which was said to be one of the best ones we’ve found) to a walker and everything in between. I had no idea that I would not even use half of it.

By the time I had my second one I had learned. Diapers and detergent were at the top of my list and a ton of them both. I did disposable diapers in all sizes and a few cloth diapers. Yes you have to clean them but trust me when its 2am and you are out of diapers grabbing a few cloth diapers to make it threw the night is so much better then running out to the store.

The detergent I used then and I still use now with my little guy is Dreft. They have 3 different stages so my laundry detergent grew with my little one. “Dreft Stage 1: Newborn; Dreft Stage 2: Active Baby and Dreft Blissfuls.” My husband also loved it he has severer allergies if he uses the wrong detergent on his feet they get the worst rashes. He has never had a reaction to Dreft and it leaves the cloths so soft and smelling fantastic.

dreft 1

If you have not tried Dreft Blissfuls yet they are a must. Add a little to your laundry for a nice clean fresh smell that has lasted forever in our house.

When you are planning your baby shower make sure to sit and really think about what you will need. The first few month of life are sleeping, eating and going to the bathroom. Make your job a little easier and get what you are really going to use and what will make your life a little easier.

Hosting A Dinner Party

Hosting a dinner party can be a really daunting challenge to take on. Here are some top tips to make sure it doesn’t go wrong.

Don’t Try Too Many New Things

Many people get tempted to try out new recipes when they are hosting a dinner party. This is a risky move though. It’s much more sensible to cook the recipe a couple of times in advance and see how it goes. If you present the main course that you’ve just cooked for the first time, it could end up going badly wrong. You don’t want to be left with full plates of food because the dish tasted terrible. So, stick to recipes that you know will be a success among your guests.

Cater for All Tastes

There will be many people attending your dinner party, and they will have different tastes and dietary requirements. Of course, it’s fine to offer steak to most people at your dinner party. And you can get good steaks from sites like http://lonemountainwagyu.com/collections/all-products/products/filet-mignon-steaks. But that won’t go down well among people who are vegetarians, will it? You need to take these things into account and make sure that you are offering something that is suitable for everyone. Ask people if there is anything they don’t want to eat or can’t eat in advance of the party.

Make as Much of the Food in Advance as Possible

It’s always a good idea to make sure that you make as much of the food in advance of the party as possible. You don’t want to be cooking when you have guests in your home. You should plan a meal that can be prepared in advance. You can then put the food in the fridge until later on in the evening. Then, all you need to do is put the food in the oven when the time is right. This will save you a lot of time and make the evening more enjoyable for you.

Create the Right Atmosphere

The atmosphere that you create in your home is very important too. You have to be sure that the atmosphere is right if you want the dinner party to go how you intend for it to go. Of course, the kind of atmosphere you choose to create is up to you. You might want to have a relaxed atmosphere with candles and some gentle music. Or you might want something more lively and upbeat. Whatever atmosphere you want to achieve, make sure you plan it out.

Entertain Everyone

Dinner parties have to be all about entertainment. If you are not keeping people happy and entertained while they are at your dinner party, then why host it in the first place? It doesn’t have to be complicated though. Sometimes, keeping people entertained is as simple as keeping the conversation and the drinks flowing all night. You could plan some party games or other activities if you want, but it’s not always necessary. You can find dinner party games at http://www.queen-of-theme-party-games.com.

How to Find the Perfect Retirement Property

How to Find the Perfect Retirement Property

There is no shortage of retirement properties for seniors. The U.S. has a smaller percentage of seniors than other nations, but nevertheless, the population is aging. Consequently, the market for this type of property is booming as the older generation expands and seeks housing more suited to their needs. So what type of property should you be looking for?

Downsizing

It is not uncommon for seniors to end up rattling around large family homes as they reach retirement age. Their children have long since flown the nest and although grandchildren might stay from time to time, for the most part the house is largely empty. Homes often hold huge sentimental value, particularly if a loved one has passed away, but there are very good reasons to downsize into a smaller property. Extensive gardens are difficult to maintain and large homes are costly and time consuming to run. If you are struggling to stay on top of the garden and housework, and you would like to reduce your monthly outgoings, it makes sense to downsize to a smaller property and release some of the equity locked up in your home. You could use the extra cash to top up your pension or splurge it on a trip of a lifetime. If you are looking to downsize this means you might want to sell your home, if this is something that interests you, you might be interested in looking into someone like jimgarciahomes.com that might be able to help you.

Finding the Right Retirement Property

Most independent seniors want to downsize into a smaller property. It makes sense to look for a home you can better manage; one that will be cheaper to run. If mobility is a problem, look for a property laid out over one floor, so you don’t have to worry about stairs. Don’t rush into buying a retirement property. Talk it over with your family and choose the right area. Living closer to family is an option if you think you might need more care in the future, but don’t forget to consider the impact of leaving good friends and a social life behind.

Living on the Coast

Buying a condo by the sea is popular with many seniors. Coastal climates are often easier to cope with as the heat is less fierce in more southern states. For this reason, places like Florida are a mecca for many retirees. SPIN Real Estate in Tampa can help you figure out your options if coastal living appeals.

Retirement Villages

Retirement villages are a good choice if you want to remain independent, yet still have plenty of in- site facilities close by. Many retirement villages are like holiday resorts, with on-site gyms, pools, and other entertainment options. When the time comes for older people to make the decision to retire and to move into a retirement community, it can be a big step for not only them but for their families as well. That’s why most people may decide to stay in places like La Posada, which can provide them with lots of different activities, as well as socializing with other residents who are also experiencing the same thing. Living in a community could be a more popular option for people who aren’t yet ready to live in their own retirement property.

It helps to find the Best Cities To Retire To if you are looking into going into a retirement village that way you are comfortable with where you are. You also have the advantage of living near to people of a similar age, which makes it easier to develop an active social life.

Care Homes

If you need extra care to help you cope with everyday life, a retirement home could be a better choice. Depending on your individual requirements, look for a home that offers meals and full nursing care. There are a lot of options for retirement homes out there, it is a good idea to do research to find the right one for you, https://www.immanuel.com is one of many homes that offer assisted living services.

Talk to a real estate expert before you commit to selling your current home and buying a new one. It’s a big move, so don’t make any hasty decisions.

The Importance of Teaching Our Children Religious Tolerance

The Importance of Teaching Our Children Religious Tolerance

The world today is a much different place than it was even a generation or two ago in that there is growing statistical evidence that believers are fewer in number (per capita) than ever before. While some sociologists and theologians blame the cause on everything from science to drugs, many believe that the ultimate demise of religion is due to intolerance.

With so much fighting going on between religions and even sects within a religion, there is no wonder those who haven’t chosen a path are unlikely to do so. What good is faith in a Supreme Being who couldn’t possibly exist with there being so much warfare and hatred going on in the world? Could God really exist and if He does, who is He? Perhaps the way to raise children in a world that is increasingly lacking in faith is to teach them about the power of religious tolerance.

Is Being Tolerant the Same as Being Unfaithful?

Believe it or not, being tolerant of other faiths is not the same thing as being unfaithful to your own. According to Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary, the first definition of tolerant is “willing to accept feelings, habits, or beliefs that are different from your own.” Being tolerant simply means accepting the fact that other people are different than you are.

They were raised in different traditions and as a result, may have a different faith than you were brought up to believe. By embracing our differences as human beings we are making a real effort to get along on a planet that seems to be growing smaller by the day. It doesn’t mean that you need to believe as they do, or worship their God. Being tolerant simply means that you are willing to concede the point that they simply don’t believe in the same God as you do.

Take the Time to Learn about Other Faiths

It might be a good idea to take the time to read about other faiths at Deily, a site for all religions. Here you can see exactly what it is that other people believe and what the tenets of their faith really are. Instead of assuming what you think they believe in you can read about the religious beliefs, celebrations and lifestyles of other religions. Learn what they base their beliefs on and a little about the history of their faith.

Children Learn by Example

Children do learn by example. You have heard the old cliché, “Do as I say, not as I do,” because children will mimic their parents from an early age onwards. If they see you acting with intolerance they will grow up believing there is something inherently wrong with that religion, or worse yet, the people who adhere to those beliefs. Whether you believe that Jesus Christ came as the Son of God, Savior or that there is still a Messiah yet to come as our Jewish brethren believe, we have many things in common such as the Old Testament and God the Father.

If you look closely enough at all major religions around the world you will see that there are many core beliefs that we share in common such as peace, love and understanding. Why not let that be a starting place when teaching your children the importance of being tolerant? There is nothing written in the book that says we can’t peacefully coexist if we don’t share common beliefs. This is how you teach your children to live in peace while sharing with them what you believe. Want them to follow in a path that you consider to be right? Tolerance is the first step so take it carefully.
