Sesame Street has been the perfect kids show for over 50 years.  I remember it when I was young my parents remember it and now my son loves it.  That is three generations of Sesame Street lovers in one house.

Sesame Street has made sure that their love of learning and kids has come out in every episode.  No matter what lever your kids are they will find something they love about Sesame Street.  I love that the new DVD has over 5 hours of fun for my little one.  It even has appearances by some of our favorite celbs.

The first disc in this very special 2-disc set features some of the greatest Sesame Street moments from yesterday and today: fan-favorite animations like “Ladybug Picnic” and “Pinball Number Count”; new and classic songs from Kermit the Frog’s soulful “It’s Not Easy Being Green” to will.i.am’s empowering anthem, “What I Am”; and timeless interactions between children and the Sesame Street Muppets. 50 Years and Counting will also let fans revisit Sesame Street’s many unforgettable celebrity appearances: Patti LaBelle putting a glamorous spin on the alphabet song; Amy Poehler teaching the gang new vocabulary words; R.E.M.’s joyful rendition of “Furry Happy Monsters”; Ricky Gervais trying — and failing — to sing Elmo to sleep; and other guest appearances made pop culture headlines while embodying Sesame Street’s inclusive lessons and values.

The second disc is an exclusive collection of the most iconic “Street Story” segments from Sesame Street’s 50-year history. With help from kids’ favorite characters, the early childhood experts behind Sesame Street helped generations of families tackle big conversations through little moments like these: the neighborhood’s poignant farewell to Mr.Hooper; the dramatic reveal of Big Bird’s not-so-imaginary friend, Mr. Snuffleupagus; and the debut of Julia, the first Sesame Street Muppet with autism.

50 Years and Counting also lets fans revisit the lighter side of the Street: Super Grover’s many crash-landings, Bert and Ernie’s classic comedy-duo antics, moments with human friends like Bob, Maria, Luis, Susan, and Gordon, and much more. There are even a few never-before-seen outtakes with Jim Henson and other original performers! We got the movie Awake free in exchange for a post.  All opinions are my own.

So, we start Awake off with a bang a missing girl, a body and a mom crying for her daughter.  Then we just a little ahead with a car accident and a detective.

When this man they call John wakes up from the accident he has no memory.  He is trying to figure out who he is while the cops are pulling out the car that crashed, and find the girls body in her trunk.  He has no idea what is going on. While he is trying to remember the FBI, agent comes in to question him.

When the detective comes to arrest him, he escapes and takes a nurse hostage. This is where the story gets good.  With the help from a new friend he sets off to see is he guilt? is he innocent? Why was he driving the car?  So many questions all while running from the FBI.

AWAKE SYNOPSIS
On a quiet evening, a shabby beige sedan speeds down a country highway. Dust and gravel fly through the air when suddenly the car slides out of control into a ravine. Later a man wakes up in a hospital bed with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. His nurse Diana (Francesca Eastwood) is unable to find any identification and refers to him as John Doe (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). The police barge into the hospital, accusing John of being a serial killer responsible for the murder of several young women in the area. As the sergeant ushers John into a private room for questioning, he manages to escape with the help of Diana, who is convinced of his innocence. The fugitives then set off for the last crime scene in search of clues and answers to clear John’s name but the benevolent nurse will soon uncover the shocking truth behind the amnesiac’s identity and the web of deceit that will lead him to a final fight for his survival.

We are huge X-Men fans.  I have seen everyone out and have read the comics for years.  If you don’t keep up with them all you can get a little behind.  Bad guys are now good , good guys are now bad,  Everyone is mad at someone and their is always something new happening.

  Now for those wondering what happened between this one and the last one and the shows, sorry no we don’t find out what happened yet and why all the X-Men are underground and gone.  I don’t know about you, but I am hoping for a new one soon with those answers.

  Have you always wondered how Jean Grey got to become and X-Men?  How someone so powerful made it as a kid?  Well then you are about to get a few answered with X-Men Dark Phoenix.  Any of us that read the comics and watched the cartoon know about the Dark Phoenix now we are getting a little more inside information about how she became to be.

  This X-Men brings us back to the beginning when Jean grey is a little girl.  We see how she got to the school and a little about her life.  Then we jump ahead to when she is a x-Men and see how she handles that.  We see exactly how she became the Dark Phoenix.

  When Jean goes looking for help, she ends up with an old favorite who lets her down.  This is when people start to pick sides and the action really begins.

   If you are a X-Men lover then this is a must add to your collection.

We loved Gumby when I was a kid and I love even more that my son can now enjoy the same great show I did.  With great lessons to learn and a little fun your kids will be sucked right into this DVD.   When the holidays come around, we are always thinking of what to get our furry friends.  Why not give them better nutrition that they will love?  Side by side has something your pets are going to love.  This one is a little different you don’t just read the little paragraph they write and pick from that.

  With side by side you take a quiz all about your dog that helps you pick the perfect kit for them.  Of course, I took it twice, once for Apple and once for Thor.  Being the twins, they are they had the same result.  Which was nice for me.   After you take the quiz, they give you the best food choices for your pets.

It took me forever to get Apple and Thor to sit and take a picture.  They wanted the goodies so bad.

  When the box came it was a nice big size with everything for my furry friends.  A feeding guide for your dog’s size.  My babies got the beef & Salmon stew and loved it.  They also got dried salmon and rabbit goodies.  Which they went completely nuts for.  In the other box was the same stew but it had beef and chicken goodies.  I have never seen them get this excited for goodies or dinner.

  They were a huge hit with the puppies.  Side by Side will help you make sure your pets are getting healthier full meals that they will love.  The containers for the Stew were easy to use and the food was fresh as could be.  If you are looking for a way to keep your pets healthy and loving their food then Side by Side is the way to go.

Did you love How To Train A Dragon?  Then you are going to love the new Dragon Rescue Riders.   Twins Dac and Leyla  and their dragon friends really don’t have a home they travel everywhere to save dragons to honor their mom a dragon who saved them as kids.  They can both understand their dragon friends, now they have started saving humans too.

When they save a viking he bring them to his home to meet the other vikings.  It does not go so well at first. There is always that one villager that has to cause trouble. This town is no different.

 

When the town grumpy blamed the dragons for eating the town prize sheep they have to decide to fight to get the truth out or just leave.  Not everyone in the town is trying to chase them out of town.  They find a few good friends who are on their side.

When the grumpy old man starts to destroy the village with his invention will the rescue riders come back to help?

This T.V show has some great life lessons every kid should learn.  We all need to get to know each other and not just believe what we hear.
