Clock fun!
Of course, most of us tell the time by glancing at our phones or checking the number displayed in the corner of a screen. However, learning to tell the time properly is a life skill that all children should master. They’re never too young to start learning about clock faces and the basics of time-telling. A simple wooden clock with movable parts is the perfect way to introduce time or something colorful with their favorite cartoon characters on it will work a treat!
Musical instruments
For those budding musicians at home, you can’t go wrong with a musical instrument. Of course, most parents cringe at the very thought of hundreds of screeching renditions of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, via a recorder. However, getting to grips with a musical instrument even something as simple as a tambourine or a shaker for the little ones can help with cognitive development, memory function, coordination and even those performance skills!
Writing skills
It’s never too early to start learning to write, and older children will appreciate the practice. All kids love completing puzzles. They promote, coordination, problem-solving skills, they can learn about the subject in the puzzle itself and they can be used over and over again. Also, they’re a great calming activity, ideal for helping your little one relax or come round after feeling anxious, scared or angry.
