I am so excited that I can finally tell you all.  When we were at Comicpalooza this year we got a chance to preview a new movie.  I was so excited when we got there to find out it was the new horror thriller lights out.  If you are a true horror movie fan this is a don’t miss.

 

This does not have a lot of blood and guts, but it will keep you jumping in your seat the whole time.  I was truly impressed with the story line.  As we all know it’s rare to find intelligent charters in a horror film we are usually yelling at them to not do things.  In this movie you will be impresses with what they come up with to save themselves.

 

This film was made with a minimum budget but you will never be able to tell.  With a mother who has let’s say “lost touch with the world” a daughter and her boyfriend who are still in the are we aren’t we stage, and a little brother who does not like the dark they will take you into a whole different world.  Where what is lurking in the dark really can hurt you.  The light will be your best friend after you see this movie.

I got to see this movie with a new friend and I was glad he was there.  Make sure to grab a good friend and enjoy this movie together.  You will want someone by your side. Make sure you see #lightsout this summer.

   I know so many people who went out and upgraded their phone this week.  With the new Pokémon Go game out a lot of older phones where not compatible.  I am one of those people.  I needed to get out and catch my Pokémon.  The one thing I have never understood is why people go out and spend a ton of money on a new phone and don’t get the best protection for it.  Speck is that product the one that will not only help protect your phone but the designs will show who you are.

Stolen Fruit Cocktail Mixers

I love summer such a great time to have a few drinks with a few great friends.  Stolen Fruit makes some great mixers that will make entertaining so much easier.  Why spend all your time mixing different stuff and hoping they turn out good.  With Stolen Fruit you can do minimal mixing and they always turn out great.  Want even better news have younger ones or maybe a few people coming to the party.  Just get some sprite and sparkling water and these great mixers also make great alcohol free drinks. The flavor of these are so nice and refreshing you will be in cool down heaven all summer long.

For the Glass

Roll top of cup in lemon juice then in sugar to line the rim

In Shaker

Ice

2 shot glasses of Lemongrass Ginger Sauvignon Blanc

1-2 shots vodka depending on how strong you like it.

1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

½ teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Shake well pour.

 

Then top off the cup with a little sprite.  So refreshing and sweet.

The lemongrass mixer makes such a great and unique taste you will want to make up a whole pitcher of this one if you have quite a few people coming.

 

Hibiscus Grenache Shot

This one is quick and easy and one of the best shots you will have ever tasted.  We all sat around and smelled it for a while we could not figure out the scent.  It was spicy I think spice cookies.  They thought Christmas wine.

Just add 2 shots of Hibiscus and 2 shots of Aftershock Cinnamon

Shake over ice and drink.  This was seriously one of the best shots I have ever had.

With my birthday and 4th of July in one week it is normally a huge week of bbqing at our house.  This year it has been cold and raining all week.  I still wanted my fantastic Dimples BBQ Sauce but I did not want to cook for hours in the cold.  So we did what was meant to be party wings in the oven.  When we opened them it turned out to be wing quarters.  Not a problem just more to eat.  If you are stuck in the house this is a great way to bring a little BBQ flavor inside this holiday weekend.

What you will need

Chicken wings

Flour

Butter

Bacon greasy (optional)

Seasonings

Milk

Dimples BBQ Sauce

 

In Bowl One Mix

1 tablespoon Bacon grease (this is not necessary but I had some cooling off from breakfast)

1 Teaspoon butter (melted)

½ cup milk

 

In Bowl 2 Mix

1 cup flour

Seasonings I used

Cyan pepper

Pepper

Garlic Salt

Paprika

 

Roll the wings in the butter mixture then the flour mixture

Place on baking sheet covered in parchment paper

 

Cook 350 for one hour.  If after 45 minutes you notice you made the flour mixture too thick and it’s not getting crispy no worries.  Just spray the top with spray butter or oil.  It will crisp it right up.

Take out and place in a bowl and toss with Dimples BBQ Sauce

Place back on the pan and cook at 350 for another 15 minutes

Take out and serve without awesome Bacon Ranch Potatoes salad.

Litehouse Bacon Ranch Potato Salad

Celebrate the 4th with our fantastic new recipe. #SeeTheLite

I was so excited to be part of the 4th of July recipe challenge with litehouse.  As you all know I cannot pass up anything with ranch in it.  One of our favorite recipes is our Bacon ranch potato salad.  This one is relatively easy to make.  The hardest part is leaving it in the fridge for 4 hours while it sucks up the sauce.

This recipe will serve about four people.  If you need to feed more just double or triple the recipe.  My boys lived this one.  I could not believe how much they ate.  We are going to make this recipe even easier for you.  Head to the bottom of the recipe to enter to win 2 coupons for you own Litehouse dressing.

What you will need

5 hardboiled eggs cut up

12 little red potatoes (boiled till they fall off the fork)

½ pound of bacon (I like to cut into pieces before cooking but you can crumble after if you like)

½ cup Litehouse Homestyle Ranch Dressing (always feel free to add more)

1 ½ table spoons of yellow mustard

1 table spoon lemon juice

Salt, pepper, garlic salt and paprika to taste.

 

Cut up the potatoes and eggs crumble the bacon if you did not do so already.

In a bowl mix the potatoes eggs, and bacon in a bowl

In a measuring cup mix Ranch dressing, Mustard, lemon juice and seasoning

Gently fold the sauce into the potatoes mixture.  You want to be gentle so you don’t break up all the potatoes.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours Serve.
