DISNEY+ RELEASES NEW TRAILER AND KEY ART FOR PIXAR’S “DUG DAYS” PREMIERING SEPTEMBER 1

DISNEY+ RELEASES NEW TRAILER AND KEY ART FOR

PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS’ “DUG DAYS” PREMIERING SEPTEMBER 1

In honor of International Dog Day, Disney+ has released a new trailer and key art for Pixar Animation Studios’ “Dug Days,” a new series of five shorts that follows the humorous misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from Disney and Pixar’s Oscar®-winning feature film “Up” whose high-tech collar translates his thoughts into speech.

Bob Peterson, the voice of Dug then and now, wrote and directed the new shorts; Kim Collins produces. It was familiar material for Peterson, who was a screenwriter and co-director on “Up,” which won an Oscar® for best animated feature. He has long understood why fans are so drawn to the character. “Dug is pure of heart—he’s a good soul. I think people enjoy that part of Dug,” says Peterson. “Plus, people love their dogs. We’ve gone to great lengths to include truth in dog behavior, so they see their own dogs in Dug.”

Coming up with new adventures for Dug was not a problem for Peterson, who kept top of mind the idea that this is Dug’s first time out of Paradise Falls. “Everything is new, and he’s excited about all of it,” he says. “But the smallest things can distract Dug, never mind an actual squirrel.”

All five shorts debut on Disney+ on Sept. 1.

The Biggest Things Companies Waste Money On

It’s easy to overestimate the value of something in business simply because you’re following tradition. Alternatively, there could be times when you spend money in the right area, but simply adopt the wrong strategy. In either case, such mistakes can lead to a huge loss of unnecessary money. Below are just some of the biggest things that you could be wasting money on.

Office space

A lot of companies still believe that it’s important to have an office. As the pandemic showed, many jobs can be worked from home nowadays due to the collaborative powers of the internet. While office space can be necessary for some companies, for many it is an unnecessary luxury.

By doing away with an office, you could cut out costs such as office rent, energy bills, property insurance, maintenance and commute costs. On top of this, you and your employees can free up time spent commuting and possibly enjoy a better work/life balance. You can still maintain the image of working from an office by buying a virtual address from a site such as PhysicalAddress.com. Collaboration can meanwhile be done via the Cloud and via communication tools such as video call software.

Tech

Every business needs to invest in modern technology. Unfortunately, many companies invest in tech that is unnecessary such as buying single-use machinery instead of hiring it or subscribing to software that is barely ever used.

You can reduce wasted money spent on tech by taking the time to work out exactly which types of tech you need. IT consultancy firms can tell you exactly what types of hardware and software you need and can help you to work within a budget. You could find that there are free software solutions out there that you could be using or machines that you could be hiring instead of buying.

Employees

If your company is a certain size, you will likely need to hire help. The key is to hire the right help – sadly, many companies end up making the wrong hiring decisions.

Start by considering which roles need to be hired in-house and which roles can be outsourced. In many cases, outsourcing roles like accountancy and IT support is cheaper. When hiring employees, invest money into the recruitment process in order to look at as many candidates as possible. This will increase your chance of hiring the right person. A wrong hire can be costly.

Marketing

Every company needs to market themselves to attract customers. But just how should you be marketing yourself? Too many companies have no strategy and waste money on marketing tactics that are set up to fail.

Avoid handing out flyers willy nilly or boosting random social media posts. Instead, spend time carefully selecting your audience and work out the most effective way to connect with them. Use market research such as analytics, surveys, competitor research and reviews to work out exactly how to appeal to your customers and invest in building a solid brand.

When You’re Feeling Under The Weather, Remember These 4 Things

Coming down with an illness is the worst, especially when you have schoolwork to complete or a big night out planned at the end of the week. The last thing on your mind is to be cuddled up in bed with a stack of tissues, but what can you do about it? While it’s nearly impossible to predict when you’ll become ill, there are some things you can take to ensure that you’re back on your feet in no time. When you’re feeling under the weather, keep these four things in mind.

Give yourself time to heal

We understand how frustrating it is to be sick and have a thesis to complete. However, if you force yourself to work, it will not be your best work. Give yourself at least one day to relax and recover, and you’ll feel much better the next day! Use this time to catch up on your favourite TV show or play a game you’ve been wanting to get stuck into.

Dose up!

We also understand that dissertations are often left till the last minute, so if you absolutely can’t wait any longer, it’s time to dose up! NSAIDs like paracetamol and ibuprofen are widely available these days, and if you take them regularly, you will notice a significant improvement in your symptoms. Water is also your best friend for any kind of ailment, so make sure you drink plenty.

Starve the bug, feed the flu

When you’re unwell, one of the finest bits of advice to remember is to starve the bug (stomach bug) and feed the flu (common cold). When your stomach is upset, the last thing you should do is force food down your throat; it will just come back up! To reintroduce your stomach to eating, wait until you’re sure you’re not going to vomit, and then only try dry things. If you’re still vomiting after 24-48 hours, it’s best to see your Dr in case you need to be seen by gastroenterology. Vomiting is usually because of a stomach bug, but it can be serious if it’s continuous.

When you get the flu, also known as the common cold, your body will require a lot of nutrition to help you get through it. It’s natural that you don’t want to eat loads, but try to consume robust meals like chicken soup to give your body the energy it needs to heal.

Eat well

Finally, when you’re sick, the last thing on your mind is putting together a nutritious salad for dinner. You’ll probably want to eat a lot of crisps and chocolate. While this may taste delicious, it isn’t doing your body any favours when it comes to self-healing. As previously stated, aim to include as many nutrients as possible in your diet so that you can feel better sooner rather than later.

Keep in mind that the average stomach illness will last about 24 hours, while the common cold will stay about 2-3 days. If you’re still having trouble following this, visit your doctor!
