We got Horizon Line free in exchange for an honest review all opinions are our own.

We start off with what we normally see as a love story.  Girl is moving from an island paradise and leaving her man behind to follow her job.  A year later she comes back and of course he is not only still there, but they are heading to the same wedding.  When they both miss their ride they catch a ride with a friend on a small plane.

That’s when everything goes wrong. The pilot has a heart attack and they are about to hit a storm.  Sara has had a few lessons in the past, but nothing to prepare her to fly back in a storm and land.  Now Sara and Jackson are lost, running out of gas and have to find a way to survive and land.

 

I liked this movie.  It had love, action a few OMG scenes and when it was over I had no idea it had already been and hour and a half. In my book if I loose track of time it’s an awesome movie.  If you are looking for a great date night movie this has something for everyone.

How To Encourage Your Child To Learn While Doing Remote Schooling

A lot of parents are struggling with homeschooling at the moment. If you find yourself in this category, you are not alone! There are a lot of parents all over the world that are currently ripping their hair out because their child will not study. So, what can you do? Arguing back with your child probably won’t get you anywhere. Find ways to work with them and to make education more exciting. With that being said, below, we have put together a number of different suggestions to help you out with this.

 

One of the first things that you should consider is looking for different ways to make the learning experience more exciting. There are a lot of different lesson plans, tools, educational games, and such like online to assist with this. You can find science-based computer games, narrative writing prompts for 4th grade, math puzzles for older students, and much more. The Internet is home to a whole host of useful resources, and a lot of them are either free or very low in cost, so make the most of them. When children find learning fun, they do not feel like they are learning at all, and this can help to facilitate the entire process.

 

Give your child regular breaks. It is important to ensure that they are given the opportunity to refresh their brains. Regular breaks are something we all need to work effectively, no matter how young or old we are. If your child is sat at a desk for hours on end, their mind is naturally going to start to wander, and they will begin to focus on everything but their work! This is why you need to encourage regular breaks. 

 

A final piece of the puzzle is to simply talk with your child. Tell them that you recognize it is very hard to do school work from home, and that you know it is a weird period for them. Find out what they are struggling with and why they are finding it difficult. You can then look for different ways to appease this so that you can come to a happy medium. Having an honest and open conversation can make all of the difference. Be sure to appreciate your child’s concerns and to take them seriously.

 

So there you have it: some of the different steps you can take to encourage your child to engage in education during the lockdown period. There is no denying that the past year has been difficult for both children and parents. Remote schooling is something a lot of parents and children never expected. However, it has been necessary to prevent the transmission of the virus. The important thing to remember here is to not be too hard on yourself. If you have not been able to fulfill all educational requirements, don’t panic; you’re not alone and the school will have a plan in place to catch up once kids are able to attend in person again.
