The Science Behind The Fun:

As time passes (and the solution cools), the water will slowly evaporate from the solution. As the water evaporates, the solution will become more saturated with sugar. The sugar molecules will collect on the string, and the candy crystals will grow molecule by molecule!

Extra Science Fun:

Try making two jars of candy. In the first jar – seed your “Crystal Gem” Candy by rolling your string in water and sugar. In the second jar do not seed your string with sugar before growing. Determine if using seed sugar crystals changes the growth rate of your “Crystal Gem” Candy!

My little guy loves building.  When we can find something he loves we try and keep him stocked with those toys so he keeps on building.  A little more building time and a little less screen time is always good.  Geomag has a wide range of toys that any builder will go nuts for. The Magi Cube from Geomag was one of his favorite he still takes them out every day.

 

This time we got the chance to try out the Geomag Mechanics Gravity set.  This was not only great to build but he loves to watch it work.  Of course he has now taken the balls and hidden them they are his favorite. lol

If you have a little one that needs works on their hand eye coordination then this set is perfect.  the pieces are also easy to click together.  So no straining their little hands to try and get it together.  This is a great activity to do wit your kids and after you are done hours of fun for them

With all the extra time we have with our family we love to add a few fun games with them.  Every week we have a great family game night and this week we got to play the awesome Korner’d.

 

Are you up for a fast-paced challenge? Endless Games’ new Korner’d Challenge is the all-new puzzle that is also a game!
The Korner’d Challenge (MSRP $19.99 for 1-6 players ages 8+) is simple in design but deceptive in execution. It’s like a puzzle because there is only one match for each tile on the board grid. It becomes more of a game when players have to match all of their tiles on the board before other players.
Brian Turtle, National Sales Manager at Endless Games, said, “Sometimes you find the pattern right away. Other times, it seems like you just can’t find the match at all.”
The Korner’d Challenge puzzle-game comes with a two-sided board and 36 individual, two-sided tiles. Players choose to play the color block grid or the animal pattern. Tiles are divided evenly among the players and the game begins. The first player to match all of their tiles correctly on the board wins.
“In our play-testing, it was amazing to see how some individuals excelled at the color grid, but struggled with the animal pattern, and vice versa,” Turtle explained. “Solo players tried a personal challenge to improve their completion times for the entire puzzle.
I love that the directions are very easy and my son can play with us.  This is a game you can play with kids or even adults and have a ton of fun.  How fast can you find where you tile goes.  Each tile only had one spot that it will fit so you have to be quick to beat the rest .

Super Hero Week at Camp Warner Bros.!  We want to celebrate the release of LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters and provide virtual Super Hero Training to bring out the passion, patience, listening skills, and fun in all of our Super Hero campers.  In this video, Batman will show you what it takes to be a Super Hero! He will offer training tips with fun games for our campers including, “Batman Says,” “Super Hero Freeze,” “Memory Challenges” and more! Do you think you have what it takes? We know you do! 

Will you be able to complete the challenge?  We had so much fun as a family doing this and watching the movie.  This is a great time to get with your family and spend a little special fun time with them.

DreamWorks Animation released an out-of-this-world trailer today for  The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants In Space! coming to Netflix on July 10. When the space agency P.O.O.P.S.I.E holds a contest to send one lucky school on a field trip to space, George and Harold ensure that Jerome Horowitz Elementary is chosen. Soon, the school is transformed into a “school-ship” and the kids and Captain Underpants are launched into space where they quickly discover their mission is not what it seems.
