I remember when I was younger getting ready for the Christmas Specials.  We had to have the evening planed.  If anything came up we were not going to get to watch it.   This was a make it on time or miss part of the show.  My sister and I were sad if we had missed any of it.  We waited all year to soo our favorite Christmas Specials.   Now we can enjoy the Classic Christmas specials any time we want in this awesome Steel Case collectors set.

Frosty The Snowman is a true classic in our house.  We watch every year and I love that we can now add these other favorites to our collection.

What To Expect As A Mum Of Boys

If you have been lucky enough to be blessed with two or more sons, you will know the strange looks and the back-handed comments about being able to cope with some many little boys. It is true, parenting boys is a lot different from parenting girls, but there are some things that can be managed if you know what to expect.

Accidents will happen

Boys will be boys, and this can mean a trip to urgent care on a regular basis. Thankfully, if this is your life, a lot of the nurses and staff will be familiar with boys being boys. You should have your own first aid kit handy with a large supply of plasters. For things that cannot be solved with the first aid kit, you will need a trip to the hospital where they will know you on a first-name basis after a while. Don’t feel bad about it, it is the normal part of mothering boys. They will break things including themselves from time to time.

 

Food food and more food

If there is one thing that you need to know about boys is that they eat a lot. Even the small ones can eat an impressive amount of food. When they are teenagers, say goodbye to your money because it is being spent on cereal. You will need to keep a ready supply of snacks and other goodies that they will eat as well as the three means that are provided for them. Don’t ask us where they put it, it is one of those mysteries in life that cannot be solved. You buy food and they eat it without hesitation.

 

Cleaning stuff

We hate to say it but boys can be smelly. It doesn’t matter if you make them shower every day, there is still a pong that can happen in their rooms. You will need to invest in some of the finest cleaning products that money can buy to ensure that the house doesn’t get stinky. You might have to invest in some plug-in fragrance things for their room to help keep it in check. You will need to poke them to get them moving and their room will need to be regularly cleaned, but try to teach them to do this so that they can cope with living on their own when they are older.

 

Big cuddles

It doesn’t matter how big they get, they will always be your babies and they will need hugs. Except when they are big blokes they will give you big man hugs. Don’t forget this as boys tend to hold their emotions inside and sometimes they just need their mum to demand a hug. Don’t be afraid to grab the hold of them and give them a hug, you never know when they will need one. Plus it is nice to get a big hug from one of your sons. Just don’t let them hug you at the same time, that can be awkward and painful.

Fitness Tips that will Help you to Stay Motivated

Have you ever started a fitness program but then quit soon after? If you said “yes” to this question, then it is important to know that you are not alone. So many people are in the same position as you, but there are things that you can do to try and make things easier on yourself. If you want to find out more, then take a look below.

Set Some Goals

Start with some very simple and realistic goals as this will help you to progress to some longer-range goals. Remember to try and make your goals realistic and achievable. It is so easy to get frustrated if you feel as though your goals are too ambitious. If you haven’t worked out in a while, then you may want to set short-term goals. This could include walking 10 minutes a day and then doing this five days a week. Even short amounts of walking or exercise can help you to stay on track so keep this in mind if you can. For most healthy adults, you should be trying to undergo around 150 minutes of walking every week.

Make it Fun

Do your part to try and find some sporting activities that you enjoy. You can then try and vary things so that you can keep it interesting. Join a softball league or even a volleyball league if you can. You can also take a ballroom dancing class if you feel as though this would interest you. Things like this really can help you to see the positives that come with exercising, and it gives you the chance to stay motivated because it’s fun.

Create a Routine

It’s so important that you carve out a good routine for yourself. You need to make sure that your routine suits your lifestyle as well. If it doesn’t then you may find it much harder to stick to it. If you just don’t know where to start, then begin with when you first get out of bed. You can easily lay out your clothes for the next day, the night before. You can also begin the day by having a CBD-infused coffee, and then going on your run. Things like this help you to create systems that eventually become habit. If you can do this, then you will soon find that it is easier than ever for you to make the most out of your workout.

Schedule Workouts

If it is hard for you to find time to exercise, then scheduling is important. As mentioned above, going on a run is very important if you want to keep a routine, but you also need to schedule set workouts in the week as well. This will give you the chance to incorporate one or two high-intensity workouts, that will work alongside the normal morning routines that you have.

Put it on Paper

Are you trying to lose weight? Maybe you just want to sleep better, or you have a chronic condition that you want to manage. Either way, you need to try and write down your goals if possible. If you can see the benefits of regular exercise, then this will really help you to stick to the goals that you have outlined for yourself. It will also give you the chance to stay motivated as well. you may want to try and keep an exercise diary too. If you can do this, then you can record what you did during the sessions and you can also try and document how you felt afterwards too. Little things like this can really help you to appreciate the hard work you are putting in.

Join Forces with your Neighbors

You are certainly not alone in your fitness journey. It’s so important that you invite over your friends and your family when you decide to go out on walks. Workout with your neighbor or even your loved ones. You can also play soccer with your kids too. This is the best way for you to keep yourself motivated and you may even find that it helps having others who are holding you accountable for your actions.

Rewards are Important

After every exercise session, it is a good idea for you to take a few moments to savor all of the great feelings that exercise gives you. This kind of internal reward gives you the chance to stay motivated for longer. It may be that you treat yourself to some new walking shoes, or that you download a new playlist on your phone to workout to.
