Did you know they re-made Freaky Friday?  I love that our kids can love the movie we did with an update.  One thing I found different is this one is a musical.  That’s right you can sing and dance along with your favorite charters. Ellie is the high-strung teenager while Katherine is the mother planning a wedding and trying to keep her business alive.  I have to say when I was younger with the original I was totally on the teenager’s side I was thinking wow that mom is so mean.  Now that I am a mom I can totally see the mom’s side.  This movie really does grow with you.

I have been watching DynaTrap on QVC for a few months now and of course as you all know my house is filled with bugs.  We have been using ever thing possible to try and get rid of them.  We found a few good ideas for outside but they had to be across the yard and smelled very bad.  Which is great for some of the bugs but we have so many next to our door.  Its like they are attracted to the AC and the door has to be open because of the puppies.  So, what do we do?

We reached out the company that had the best reviews DynaTrap and I can honestly say I am so happy that I did.  The inside DynaTrap is a life saver.  Look at the sticky part picture below that was after one night.  Even with the screen door this is how many were getting in at night.  We were getting bit to death and the flies were uncontrollable.

I mean seriously look at that that was one night.

I love that I can use this in the house and not be afraid of what I am getting next to my puppies or my little guy.  This is so safe and even better I am not losing any plugs.  I am actually getting better ones.  These have the HDMI plugs and the regular plugs.  Right on the sides.

We used this one just inside the sliding glass door so it really is catching everything as they get in.  So, I am going to give DynaTrap a huge thumbs up.  I am going to have to get the outdoor ones.  Know that I know this works so well they are totally worth it.  If you have been on the fence then I say take the jump you will not be disappointed.

Happy Salmon

This cute little guy has a game in it.  I have to say that is awesome I can bring it along with us or on a car ride and to the hotel and its not a huge box with tons of little parts.  This game is so much fun.  You pick your card color and your 12 cards turned upside down then you start flipping them and calling out your action till you match with someone doing the same action then you discard your card and go to the next.  Your goal is to be out of cards first.

I have to say I was very excited that they had alternate rules in this one for people who could not do an action.  They have different action if you can’t talk (or just needs to be a silent game) also different actions if you can not preform a task.  Having an autistic child this was very special for me.  The switch card at times could mean a melt down in our house now we can use the alternate rules to accommodate him.  I have to say North Star Games I am truly impressed you made sure everyone could be included.

 

Funky Chicken Card Game

The Funky Chicken card game is like Happy Salmon.  Same rules just different actions.  I love that you can also mix and match these games for more actions and a little harder game.  Just like Happy Salmon they also have alternative for people who cannot perform these actions.  Funky Chicken game was fun all on its own but I really suggest you buy both together.  I love that they can be alone on their own or mixed and matched.  Nothing like making a whole new game with 2 you already have.

 

Dude and More Dude

When I first saw the cover of this one I was truly wondering where they were going with this one.  A whole game where you say Dude.  After reading the rules and playing this game is genius.  So, you get your cards and like the others flip them over keep these ones to yourself.  Then you say DUDE how it is spelled and what you think it should sound like.  When you think someone has the same DUDE card as you do say it back and forth.  If you think you match say SWEET if you are right put them in your pile if you are wrong put in the discard pile. Keep going till someone is out of cards then they say CHILL and every one stops.  Then count the cards in front of you.   Who ever has the most cards wins. This was such a fun game.

 

Say Anything 10th Anniversary Edition

Now this one is more for the adults in our hose.  My son can’t spell yet so he is out. Of course, in this game we could just make him the judge the whole time.  Here you will answer with you best in our case funniest answer to a question.  Write it on the white board and the judge picks their favorite.  Before you know what the judge picks you use your tokens to pick your favorites.  Then you earn points for picking the same.  The most points at the end of 12 rounds win.  The answers that were coming out to this one had us laughing the whole time.  I never knew my husband had such a great seance of humor lol.

When I met the ladies from Off The Hook in New York first thing I feel in love with was them.  I have to say they were so nice and excited about their product I had to learn more.  When I saw what it really was I was also excited.   You all know how I feel about a company that have happy and excited people working with them.  There is nothing better.

Off the hook is fantastic yarn that lets you make everything you want to without the Hooks.  First thing I thought of is when you are traveling now you can bring everything with you.  Now you can bring just this yarn and still get your projects done.  They have an awesome video that shows you exactly how to use it too.  So, you can be making hats, scarfs and so much more in no time.

I knew my son would love it because it was red and soft I did not know how great of a sensory item it would be for him.  With the holes in it and how soft it is he plays with this every day and it really calms him down.  Now if you have a little guy like mine make sure you are watching them when they are playing with it.  This is still yarn and like my son they may not know that wrapping it around them could be dangerous.  He sits next to me on the couch and just pets and plays with it.

 

As you can see from the video above you can do it.  They show you step by step so you don’t have to worry about doing it right.  Even my son loved watching the video and does it.  Of course he is autistic so he takes it apart and does it over and over.  That might be the OCD coming out. lol This is truly a fantastic gift for any age.

As you all know we love a great game night. There is nothing better then getting together with a few friends and playing a few games. After all, who doesn’t love exposing all their secrets in a game of never have i ever… Not only do you get to know each other better but its a great way to spend the night indoors. Ghost Pillow

How are you sleeping at night? I know sleep is hard to come by in our house. With little guy and 2 puppies I need every minute of sleep I can get. With my neck that always hurts from the car accident and me being a hot sleeper the right pillow can make all the difference. I’ve done a little research and found that there are dozens of pillows that could replace my current set up. I’d been looking at a Latex Pillow and front sleeper pillow so I could sleep more comfortably and then I came across this pillow.

I was excited to try the Ghost Pillow I read a lot of the reviews first to see what I was in for and they were all positive. I have been one of those people who went to the local store and bought the $5 pillow. Then I bought another and another and in just a few months I spent more on them then if I had bought one Ghost Pillow. They always started off great but ended up flat and were never cooler.

When I got this one it came in an awesome box so I did not have to wait for it to fill. The outer cover of it was really soft. When I laid my head on it I could actually tell it was cooler in seconds. So far this was awesome. Now when you do get it let it air out for 24 hours. Its not a bad smell but there is a packing smell you want to air it out.

It is a firmer pillow so if you have a bad neck like mine them you are going to love this. I actually wake up with my neck feeling better. The cooler part I can actually tell the whole night when I am sleeping. I have been using this pillow for over a week and it has not gone flat at all. The only problem I have with it, is that my son now wants it. Of course, he wants the best pillow in the house lol.
