New Pokémon Snap x Pokémon GO crossover event begins April 29

Trainers can sharpen their focus and ready their cameras ahead of the New Pokémon Snap launch by participating in a Pokémon GO collaboration starting April 29. The New Pokémon Snap and Pokémon GO crossover event gives players the chance to tackle a new type of research task featuring a GO Snapshot theme, features different Pokémon found across New Pokémon Snap’s Lental region, and more!

New Pokémon Snap launches worldwide on April 30, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch family of systems.

BELLEVUE, Wash., April 15, 2021 – To celebrate the launch of New Pokémon Snap for Nintendo Switch, Trainers will be able to partake in a special New Pokémon Snap and Pokémon GO crossover event starting April 29!

The “New Pokémon Snap Celebration” will give Trainers the chance to tackle a new type of research task featuring a Pokémon GO Snapshot theme, catch different Pokémon that are found across New Pokémon Snap’s Lental region, and grab new camera-themed avatar items from the Pokémon GO Style Shop.Trainers will also be able to encounter the Painter Pokémon, Smeargle, by completing certain research tasks and by checking some of their snapshots’ surroundings. For a limited time, lucky Trainers may even find Shiny Smeargle, so be sure to take a lot of snapshots throughout the New Pokémon Snap Celebration event!
