How to survive a zombie attack

How to survive a zombie attack

Brought to you by Tabbys Pantry and Wholly Guacamole

I have seen and studied every zombie movie out there. I am told all the time by my family that if the Zombies ever take over they are heading my way, because I will be the one to survive. So I have brought these tips to you all so you can survive when the zombies take over.

Guns & Ammo

These will be one of your best defences against the zombie attack. You can kill from long range and not have to get up close and personal with the Zombies. There are a few things that you must know before using them.

– You must be a good shot if you cannot get a head shot it is a waste of a bullet.

– You need to know how to re-load and have the equipment to do it. If you are out of bullets a gun will do you no good. You probably will not be able to beat the zombies head in with the gun butt without being bit.

– A silencer is a must. One shot can bring every zombie within a five mile radius right to you without one.

Bow & Arrows

Also a great weapon for killing long distance. A few big differences between killing with this and a gun is you can re-use the arrows (make sure you claim them after the kill). Also you can practice to become a good shot without wasting your ammo.

– Good for long range and close up. You will have a lot better luck stabbing a zombie in the head with an arrow then with a gun butt.

– Still stock up on arrows you will not always be able to claim your arrow after the kill

– Bulkier then a gun so find a good way to carry it.

– Harder to be a good shot with an arrow then it is with a gun. (a lot more practice needed)

Knifes & Swords

These are great weapons in the fight if you are strong enough to use them.

– You must be able to get the brain so either work on your upper body muscle or aim for the eyes.

– Knifes are easy to find we all have them in our kitchen, but you will have to get up close and personal with the zombies to use them.

– Swords: when people are looking for weapons most will go straight for the bullets so specialty stores with weapons might be nice and stocked up.

– Swords are harder to learn but you can keep a little more distance from the zombies then you would with a knife.

Other Weapons

There are a ton of other weapons out there to use just look around your house.

– Shovel is a great weapon and most of us have one. This will be harder to control and to get enough speed while swinging it.

– Golf club: just like the shovel a little harder to get the speed you will need with it and smaller surface to work with that will have to hit their head.

– One of my favorites that is actually one of your best bets if you don’t have the better weapons above. I liked the spear. You can make out of any stick. Keeps you a little farther from the zombie and if it breaks just sharpen another one.

Food

There is a lot of debate, will the animals be infected or not? Well there is a really easy way to find out. Kill one if it turns into a zombie smash its head in, if it does not then eat it.

A few other things to consider.

– When you are raiding the stores grab packets of seeds you will want to grow fruits and veggies.

– Beef jerky and canned food will be a necessity. They last for a long time and most is pre cooked if you can’t warm up, just eat out of the can.

– They will not be making your favorite items anymore- stock up now

– Spices & Sugar! You can make anything edible with the right spices stock up now they will be gone before you know it.

Transportation

You will need a vehicle. Who wants to walk state to state, and out in the open with millions of zombies just cruising around.

A few things to consider

– You want something big enough to fit supplies and your family, plus a few extra people. You will need allies on the road.

– You don’t want anything too big that you cannot get around congested streets filled with the dead.

– Gas cans- keep them with you and fill them up with all the empty cars along the side of the road and in towns. The dead will not need the gas.

– Keep pillows and blankets in the car. You will at some point find yourself in the middle of nowhere and you will be a lot safer sleeping in a locked car then you will be in a tent in the middle of nowhere.

A few other tips to help keep you safe.

– Fortify your house. Board up windows and put up fences if you plan on staying at home.

– If you live in a big city GET OUT. In my town there is only about 1,500 people and no close towns. I can hit one hunter’s house and have enough bullets to clean up the town and only worry about the strays. You will not be able to clear out San Diego or a bigger city- just get out.

– Medication- stock up on antibiotics and pain killers they will not be making them anymore.

– Get books like gardening for dummies and so forth; guess what all there will probably be no more internet. That’s right back to the old days of looking it up in a book.

– Don’t trust anyone right off the bat. Everyone is trying to survive and not everyone is a good person.

– Always have HOPE.

– Buy you’re wholly Guacamole now. They will all be too busy killing zombies to make you more guacamole.
