Why does wool shrink?
When you buy a sweater, it is made up of long and straight wool fibers. The heat or agitation of the washer/dryer break the protein bonds and cause the fibers to curl up into a ball, shrinking your clothes.
How does Unshrinkit work?
Our patent-pending product interacts with the proteins in wool and relaxes the bonds in order to allow you to straighten out the fibers again. Once you’ve straightened the fibers, rinse the sweater in cold water to remove the solution. This allows the proteins to lock back into their original configuration!

Give it to? I wouldn’t! It would be right in my own laundry room! I wish I had known about this product sooner. For Christmas 2019, my mom gave me the best sweater ever! I wore it ONE time…in January to my mom’s birthday party. Then put it in the wash with other items. And to be helpful, my college-aged daughter who was home at the time put the clothes from washer to dryer. Without taking out my sweater. And it shrunk up so much. I almost cried. (Ok…maybe I shed a few tears locked in the bathroom when no one was looking). Yup…I’m keeping this Unshrunk for myself!
