Giveaway: Three Paws and the Secret Cave

Book Three in The Three Paws Series

NEW CHILDREN’S BOOK TACKLES TOUGH TOPIC OF LOSING A GRANDPARENT, PET OR OTHER LOVED ONE AND CELEBRATING LIFE WHILE WE HAVE THE CHANCE

Children’s book author Karen Struck loves writing stories that make kids smile, but also learn valuable lessons. In her latest release in the Three Paws series, Three Paws and the Secret Cave [Page Publishing, Spring 2021, 978-1662407499] she isn’t shying away from a tough yet valuable lesson everyone encounters at some point: losing a loved one.

Three Paws and the Secret Cave jumps right back into the lives of Boots, the three-legged Grizzly bear and his wild group of friends as they go on adventures in the Alaskan wilderness. Boots and his friends have had many great times together over the years, but now are faced with an inevitable part of life. Cappy, the elderly mountain goat, is nearing the end of his physical journey on earth. His granddaughter, Scarlet, is very close to him. But when he leaves the goat herd, without an explanation, Scarlet is frantic to uncover the mystery behind his disappearance. Young Scarlet leads her wilderness friends in a celebration of life as she and her friends honor her beloved grandfather. Join Scarlet, Boots, Chinook, Sockeye, Pepe, Cyrus and Blizzard as they trek along the rugged mountaintop in search of Cappy and the secret cave.

Around the launch of Three Paws and the Secret Cave, Struck is available for interviews, Q&A’s, and byline articles and can discuss topics such as:

∙ The importance of celebrating each new day as a gift, and how to communicate that to children

∙ What it means to celebrate one’s life while they are still alive, and what it means to celebrate after someone’s passing

∙ Tips for when children are grieving a pet. What is the “Rainbow Bridge?”

∙ Some ways we can remember our loved ones (animals included) after they have departed

∙ How we can offer support to someone who is grieving

“As a registered nurse, I have had the opportunity to work in a nursing home as well as hospitals in oncology, adult and pediatric intensive care units. I have dealt with transitioning from life to death on multiple occasions and all ages,” Struck says. “ I hope The Secret Cave helps little ones understand that the death experience is a tough but natural part of the human experience. And, by understanding that, it can inspire us to live more fully, each and every day while we can, celebrating our lives and the lives of others along the way.”

KAREN STRUCK discovered the joy of children’s literature as she read to her daughter each night. She was inspired by the Harry Potter book series, and decided to take writing courses through the Institute of Children’s Literature.

Karen is also a registered nurse and works in the aesthetic industry, performing laser treatments combined with injectables for skin rejuvenation. She works with her husband, Steve, a plastic surgeon in Atherton, California. Residing in Los Gatos, California, Karen has a daughter named Rachel and two stepchildren, Danni and Evan Struck.

You Can Now Have Your Own Hollywood Mirror

We got this great mirror free in exchange for an honest review.  All Opinions are our own

I have a beautiful antique makeup table that I love.  It has been in my family for years.  The only thing is with some of these old tables the mirrors are not that great.  The room it is in is also pretty dark.  I have been doing my makeup in that room and when I leave the house I always see streaks that I could not see before.

With this great Hollywood Mirror I can not see everything.  This mirror comes already assembled so all I had to do was take it out of the package, plug it in and set on the table.  It lights up bright enough for me to see everything and it is sturdy.  It came with 2 magnifying mirrors too so I can really see everything.

Best of all this mirror will not break the bank. Right now it is on amazon with free prime shipping for only $139.99.

What Are The Best Career Switches For A Pandemic?

Whether you want to do it or not, a career change during a pandemic could be inevitable. Some people lose their jobs, others see new opportunities and grab them with both hands. Securing your future isn’t wrong, which is why you should do what you feel is best for you and your loved ones.

The trick is to choose wisely. Life is unpredictable right now, and a modicum of certainty will only help you through this difficult period. So, if you’re wondering what the best career switches during a pandemic are, you can find them underneath by continuing reading.

Data Admin

Companies have lost a lot and can’t afford to lose anything else. That’s why they are investing what few resources they have left in database administrators. Data admin employees are tasked with backing up sensitive information and ensuring it isn’t deleted should anything go wrong. You will require extensive experience in the sector to land a job, but if you have it, there are more roles available now than at any point in the past. Even if you don’t have a computer science degree, knowledge of programs such as Oracle will help. Plus, you can do it remotely from the comfort of your living room.

Online Learning

One of the features to focus on is industries that are still hiring. After all, demand is high and there aren’t many positions on offer. Thankfully, the way the pandemic has panned out means that online learning has boomed in the past twelve months. With more kids at home, the need for remote classes and activities is imperative. And, you don’t need a teaching degree. A lot of the skills are transferable, which means they are open to people who have trained others. Just make sure that your resume stands out when you frame your experience.

Delivery Driver

Supermarkets and digital retailers have come out of the pandemic with more money in the back pockets. They are pandemic-proof. If anything, the demand has been so high that they have needed to expand their workforces to keep up. As a result, delivery driver jobs are often posted online. The great things about these positions are varied. For example, you have some job security. Also, you get to leave the house daily and won’t be stuck indoors. The pay is healthy. And, you’re essentially a key worker doing their bit for others during a challenging period. If that isn’t reason enough to consider a career switch to driving, what is?!

Entrepreneur

Startups have been popping up like moles for the better part of a year. This is because people have come to the conclusion that they might as well work for themselves than somebody else. Launching an SME is risky since the vast majority fail within five to ten years. However, there are niches that didn’t exist before the pandemic that you might be able to exploit. Imagine having the power to do what you wanted to do, and not what others told you to do.

What career would you choose?

Moving? Packing Your Possessions Well Can Alleviate Stress

What, would you say, is the most stressful aspect of moving? You will no doubt forgive us for assuming that some level of stress is involved no matter what – anyone who has moved, even across the road, understands this when the time comes. That said, when we identify just what areas are the most stressful, we can plan ahead for them, and alleviate an undue sense of concern.

So, what would it be? You may dislike simply uprooting the anchor of your life and placing it somewhere totally different. Perhaps you’re not too keen on that small interval between locking up and leaving your old house and waiting to travel to your new place, accepting the keys, the period between which renders you quasi-homeless. For us, it’s packing our belongings. No matter how clean and tidy you are, you always seem to notice just how many unnecessary possessions or weird artifacts you have when it comes time to organizing them and sending them across.

So, in order to alleviate your stress, let’s discuss a few great ways to counter this problem:

Organize Large To Small

Worthwhile packing and moving services, like SMARTBOX Solutions, Inc. use a form of logic to make sure that your property is packaged together and organized well. You may think of this as a more advanced form of tetris, where laying regular boxes as appropriate and purposefully is vastly more helpful than packing all items haphazardly. Splitting that into a room-by-room packaging effort can help you easily when you come to unpack. Just reverse the process, and you’re golden.

Pre-Pack Valuables

Pre-packing valuables can make a tremendous difference and it helps you avoid worrying about your most prized items. We would also recommend checking up with your moving company, because some may wish to pack your best items themselves to ensure their insurance is fully documented and proven in advance. Pre-packing valuables can also help you more readily store them together, or perhaps take them in separate trips, just in case something happens. You may also decide to use storage solutions such as a storage locker secured by a company each and every night – this can help if you have a range of bulky items you would rather not bring to your home just yet.

Use A Reliable Service

Use the best and most reliable service for your needs, not the cheapest one on offer. This might involve making sure they can travel internationally, or that they’re happy to meet you a day later as you spend a night in a hotel when driving to your new place. Some services may even be able to help or refer you to others offering worthwhile utilities, such as moving specialists possessions. Moving horses from field to field, for instance, will quite clearly require more than just the standard removals firm. It can really helpful to think along these lines.

With this advice, we hope you can pack your possessions well and alleviate your stress, just as you deserve to.

The New Fidget Toy The Yo Ring #yoring #yoringitup

We got the Yo Ring free in exchange for an honest review all opinions are our own

I love finding new fidget toys for little guy.  When his anxiety gets to much or he just needs a few minutes to calm down the Yo Ring have been fantastic. They are a softer material yet they are still solid.  You can spin them and bend them.  I love that they come in a few different colors too.  Even better news the 3 sets right now are free shipping on the web site.

Throw above the receiver’s head and finger, allowing the hole in the ring to be seen as it descends towards the index finger.

Ring it up Circle : Beginner

Stand in a circle with a group, toss the Yo Ring to any person if they complete the catch or RING IT UP they stay in the game. If they fail to complete catch they are out until the next game.
